" Rush about through the streets of Jerusalem ; search in her city squares , too . Then look and think about this⟡ : If you can find a man or anyone who is acting justly and trying to act faithfully , then I will forgive⟡ Jerusalem .

О , Господь ! Разве Твои глаза не направлены к истине ? Ты их поражаешь , а они не чувствуют боли . Ты их уничтожаешь , а они не хотят принять наставление . Они сделали свои лица каменными и не хотят вернуться .

So I said , " Surely these are only poor people . They are foolish , for they do not know Yahweh 's ways nor their God 's decrees .

So a lion from a thicket will attack them . A wolf from the Arabah will devastate them . A leopard is watching their cities Anyone who goes outside his city will be torn apart . For their transgressions increase . Their acts of apostasy are numerous .
За это нападёт на них лев из леса , пустынный волк их опустошит , барс будет их подстерегать у их городов : кто выйдет из них , будет растерзан , потому что умножились их преступления , и усилилась их неверность .

Why should I pardon these people ? Your sons have abandoned me and have made oaths by what are not gods . I fed them fully but they committed adultery and walked in great number to the houses of prostitutes .
Как же Мне тебя простить за это ? Твои сыновья Меня оставили и клянутся теми , кто не боги . Я их насыщал , а они изменяли и толпами ходили в дома развратниц .

They were horses in heat . They roamed about wanting to mate . Each man neighed to his neighbor 's wife .
Это откормленные , похотливые кони : из них каждый ржёт на жену другого .

So should I not punish them — this⟡ is Yahweh 's declaration — and should I not avenge myself on a nation that is like this ?
Разве Я не накажу за это ? — говорит Господь . — Разве не отомстит Моя душа такому народу , как этот ?

Go up onto her vineyards ' terraces and destroy . But do not bring complete destruction to them . Trim their vines , since those⟡ vines do not come⟡ from Yahweh .
Поднимайтесь на его стены и разрушайте , но не до конца . Уничтожьте их ростки , потому что они не принадлежат Господу .

For the houses of Israel and Judah have completely betrayed me — this is Yahweh 's declaration .
Потому что дом Израиля и дом Иуды изменили Мне , — говорит Господь . —

They have spoken falsely about Yahweh and they said , " He will do nothing ; no harm will come upon us , and we will not see sword or famine .

Поэтому так говорит Господь Бог Саваоф : " За то , что вы говорите такие слова , Я теперь сделаю Мои слова в твоих устах огнём , а этот народ — дровами , и этот огонь сожжёт их .

Behold ! I am about to bring a nation against you from far away , house of Israel — this⟡ is Yahweh 's declaration — it is a lasting nation , an ancient nation ! It is a nation whose language you do not know , nor will you understand what they say .
Дом Израиля , я приведу на вас народ издалека , — говорит Господь , — сильный народ , древний народ , народ , языка которого ты не знаешь и не будешь понимать , что он говорит .

Its quiver is like an open tomb . They are all soldiers .
Его колчан — как открытая гробница . Все они храбрые воины .

They will eat up your harvest and your food . They will devour your sons and daughters . They will devour your flocks and herds . They will devour your vines and fig trees . They will beat down with a sword your fortified cities in which you put your trust .
И они съедят твой урожай и твой хлеб , съедят твоих сыновей и твоих дочерей , съедят твоих овец и твоих волов , съедят твой виноград и твой инжир . Разрушат мечом твои укреплённые города , на которые ты надеешься .

But even in those days — this is Yahweh 's declaration — I do not intend to destroy you completely .
Но и в те дни , — говорит Господь , — не уничтожу вас до конца .

Report this⟡ to the house of Jacob and let it be heard in Judah . Say ,

" Разве вы не боитесь Меня , — говорит Господь , — разве не трепещите передо Мной ? Я положил песок границей морю , вечным его пределом , который оно не перейдёт . Его волны устремляются на него , но не могут преодолеть , они бушуют , но не могут переступить .

But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart . They have turned aside and gone away .
А у этого народа упрямое и непокорное сердце . Они отвернулись и ушли ,

For they do not say in their hearts , " Let us fear Yahweh our God , the one who brings the rain — the early rain and the late rains — in their right time , keeping the appointed weeks of the harvest for us . "
и не сказали в своём сердце : " Будем бояться Господа , нашего Бога , Который даёт нам в своё время ранний и поздний дождь , и хранит для нас недели , назначенные для урожая .

Your iniquities kept these⟡ things from happening . Your sins have stopped good from coming to you .

For wicked men are found⟡ with my people . They watch as someone crouches to capture birds ; they set a trap and catch people .
