In the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah son of Josiah , king of Judah , this⟡ word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh .

For all the nations will serve him , his son , and his grandson until the time for his land comes . Then many nations and great kings will subdue him .

И если какой - либо народ или царство не захочет служить ему , вавилонскому царю Навуходоносору , и не склонит свою шею под ярмо вавилонского царя , то Я накажу этот народ мечом , голодом и моровой язвой , — говорит Господь , — пока не уничтожу их его рукой .

Зачем умирать тебе и твоему народу от меча , голода и моровой язвы , как сказал Господь о том народе , который не будет служить вавилонскому царю ?

Do not listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you and say , ' Do not serve the king of Babylon , ' for they are prophesying lies to you .
И не слушайте слов пророков , говорящих вам : " Не будете служить вавилонскому царю " , потому что они пророчествуют вам ложь .

' For I have not sent them out — this is Yahweh 's declaration — for they are prophesying deceit in my name so that I will drive⟡ you out and you will perish , both you and the prophets who are prophesying to you . ' "

И священникам , и всему этому народу я говорил : " Так говорит Господь : " Не слушайте слов ваших пророков , которые вам пророчествуют и говорят : " Скоро будут возвращены из Вавилона сосуды дома Господа " , потому что они пророчествуют вам ложь .

Do not listen to them . You should serve the king of Babylon and live . Why should this city become⟡ a ruin ?
Не слушайте их , служите вавилонскому царю и живите . Зачем доводить этот город до развалин ?
