The words of Jonadab son of Rekab that he gave to his sons as a command , not to drink any wine , have been observed to this very day . They have obeyed their ancestor 's command . But as for me , I myself have been making persistent proclamations to you , but you do not listen to me .
Выполняются слова Ионадава , сына Рехава , который повелел своим сыновьям не пить вино , и они не пьют вино до этого дня , потому что слушаются повеления своего праотца . А Я непереставая говорил с вами , говорил с раннего утра , и вы не послушались Меня .

I persistently sent to you all my servants , the prophets , saying ' Let each person turn from his wicked way and do good deeds ; let no one walk any longer after other gods and worship them . Я посылал к вам всех Моих слуг , пророков , посылал с раннего утра , говоря : " Отвернитесь каждый от своего злого пути и сделайте добрыми ваши дела , не ходите за чужими богами для служения им , и будете жить на этой земле , которую Я дал вам и вашим праотцам " , но вы не склонили своего уха и не послушались Меня .

For the descendants of Jonadab son of Rekab have observed the commands of their ancestor that he commanded them , but this people refuses to listen to me . " '
