This⟡ is the word of Yahweh that came⟡ to Zephaniah son of Cushi son of Gedaliah son of Amariah son of Hezekiah , in the days of Josiah son of Amon , king of Judah .
अमोनका छोरा , यहूदाका राजा योशियाहको समयमा हिजकियाका जनाति , अमर्याहका पनाति , गदल्याहका नाति , कूशीका छोरा सपन्याहकहाँ आएको परमप्रभुको वचन यही हो ।

परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरको सामु शान्त रहो , किनभने परमप्रभुको दिन नजिकै छ । परमप्रभुले बलिदान तयार पार्नुभएको छ र आफ्ना पाहुनाहरूलाई अलग्गै राख्‍नुभएको छ ।

अनि त्यो दिन यस्तो हुनेछ भनेर परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ । माछा ढोकाबाट कष्‍टको रुवाबासी , नयाँ टोलबाट विलाप , र पहाडहरूबाट ठुलो धमाकाको आवाज आउनेछ ।

ए बजारहरूमा बस्‍नेहरू , रोओ , किनभने सबै व्यापारीहरू तहस - नहस हुनेछन् , र चाँदीका व्यापारीहरू सखाप पारिनेछन् ।

It will come about at that time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish the men who have settled into their wine and say in their heart , ' Yahweh will not do anything , either good or evil . '
त्यस बेला म बत्तीहरू बालेर यरूशलेमको खोजी गर्नेछु र त्यसको मद्यमा प्रसन्‍न भएका र आफ्नो हृदयमा ‘ परमप्रभुले असल वा खराब केही पनि गर्नुहुनेछैन ’ भनेर भन्‍ने मानिसहरूलाई सजाय दिनेछु ।

Their wealth will become plunder , and their houses will be an abandoned devastation ! They will build houses but not live⟡ in them , and plant vineyards but not drink their wine .
तिनीहरूका धन - सम्पत्ति लुटिनेछन् , र तिनीहरूका घरहरू त्यागिएर नाश हुनेछन् । तिनीहरूले घर बनाउनेछन् तर त्यहाँ बस्‍नेछैनन् र दाखबारीहरू लगाउनेछन् तर त्यसको मB पिउनेछैनन् ।

The great day of Yahweh is near , near and hurrying quickly ! The sound of the day of Yahweh will be that of a warrior crying bitterly !
परमप्रभुको त्यो महान् दिन नजिकै छ , नजिक र चाँडै आउँदै छ । परमप्रभुको दिनको आवाज चिच्याई - चिच्याई रोइरहेको योद्धाको झैँ हुनेछ ।

किनभने म मानवजातिमाथि संकट ल्याउनेछु , अनि तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको विरुद्ध पाप गरेका हुनाले तिनीहरू अन्धा मानिसहरूझैँ हिँड्नेछन् । तिनीहरूको रगत धुलोझैँ र तिनीहरूका भित्री अङ्गहरू लादीझैँ बाहिर फ्याँकिनेछन् ।

Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of Yahweh 's fury . In the fire of his jealousy the whole earth will be consumed , for he will bring a complete , a terrible end of all the inhabitants of the earth . "
परमप्रभुको क्रोधको दिनमा न त तिनीहरूको चाँदी न तिनीहरूको सुनले तिनीहरूलाई बचाउन सक्‍नेछ । उहाँको डाहको आगोमा सारा पृथ्वी भस्म हुनेछ , किनभने उहाँले पृथ्वीका सारा वासिन्दाहरूको पूर्ण र भयानक अन्त गर्नुहुनेछ । ”
