बेन्यामीनको क्षेत्रमा पर्ने अनातोतका पुजारीहरूमध्ये एक जना हिल्कियाहका छोरा यर्मियाका वचन यिनै हुन् ।

यहूदाका राजा योशियाहका छोरा यहोयाकीमको समयदेखि यहूदाका राजा योशियाहका छोरा सिदकियाहको शासनकालको एघारौं वर्षको पाँचौं महिनासम्म , यरूशलेमका मानिसहरू कैदीका रूपमा नलगिएसम्‍म नै परमप्रभुको वचन आइरह्यो ।

उखेल्न र भत्काउन , नाश गर्न र भताभुङ्ग पार्न , बनाउन र रोप्न , आज मैले तँलाई जातिहरू र राज्यहरूमाथि नियुक्त गर्दैछु । "

परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो , " तैंले राम्ररी देखेको छस् , किनकि आफ्‍नो वचन पुरा गर्नलाई म त्‍यसलाई नियालेर हेर्दैछु । "

The word of Yahweh came⟡ to me a second time , saying , " What do you see ? " I said , " I see a heated pot , whose surface is churning , tipping away from the north . "
परमप्रभुको वचन दोस्रो पटक मकहाँ यसो भनेर आयो , " तैंले के देख्छस् ? " मैले भनें , " म एउटा तताइएको भाँडो देख्छु जसको माथिल्लो सतह छचल्‍किएर उत्तर दिशाबाट घोप्टिहरेको छ । "

परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो , " यस देशमा बस्‍ने सबैमाथि विपत्ति उत्तर दिशाबाट नै आउन सुरु हुनेछ ।

For I am calling all the tribes of the northern kingdoms , declares Yahweh . They will come , and everyone will set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem , against all the walls that surround it , and against all the cities of Judah .
किनकि मैले उत्तरी राज्यहरूका सबै कुललाई बोलाउँदैछु भनी यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । तिनीहरू आउनेछन् , र यरूशलेमका मूल ढोकाहरूको प्रवेशद्वारमा आ-आफ्नो सिंहासन स्थापित गर्नेछन् , अनि तिनीहरू यसका चारैतिरका पर्खालहरू र यहूदाका सबै सहरको विरुद्धमा लाग्‍नेछन् ।

I will pronounce sentence against them for all their evil in forsaking me , in burning incense to other gods , and in worshiping what they made with their own hands .
अरू देवताहरूलाई धुप बालेर र तिनीहरूका आफ्नै हातले बनाएका वस्तुहरूलाई पुजा गरेर मलाई त्यागेका हुनाले तिनीहरूका सबै दुष्‍ट कामको विरुद्धमा म इन्साफ गर्नेछु ।

Behold ! Today I have made you a fortified city , an iron pillar , and bronze walls against the whole land — against the kings of Judah , its officials , its priests , and the people of the land .
हेर , सारा देश अर्थात् यहूदाका राजाहरू , यसका अधिकारीहरू , पुजारीहरू र देशका मानिसको विरुद्धमा आज मैले तँलाई एउटा किल्लाबन्दी गरिएको सहर , फलामे खम्बा र काँसाको पर्खाल बनाएको छु ।
