यहूदाका राजाहरू उज्‍जियाह , योताम , आहाज र हिजकियाका समयमा यरूशलेम र यहूदाको बारेमा आमोसका छोरा यशैयाले दखेका दर्शन ।

धिक्‍कार ! पापी जाति , अधर्मले लादिएका मानिसहरू , खराब गर्नेहरूका सन्तानहरू , भ्रष्‍ट रूपले काम गर्नेहरूका सन्तानहरू ! तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुलाई त्यागेका छन् , तिनीहरूले इस्राएलका परमपवित्रलाई घृणा गरेका छन् , तिनीहरूले आफैलाई उहाँबाट टाढा बनाएका छन् ।

Why are you still being beaten ? Why do you rebel more and more ? The whole head is sick , the whole heart is weak .
तिमीहरूलाई अझै पनि किन पिटाइ खाँदैछौ ? तिमीहरू किन झन् विद्रोह गर्छौ ? सम्‍पुर्ण टाउको नै बिरामी छ र सम्‍पुर्ण हृदय नै कमजोर छ ।

शिरदेखि पाउसम्म हानि नभएको कुनै अंग छैन । घाउहरू , चोटपटक र भर्खरका खुल्ला घाउहरू मात्र छन् । ती बन्द गरिएका , सफा गरिएका , पट्टि लगाइएका छैनन् , न त तेलले उपचार गरिएका छन् ।

Your country is ruined ; your cities are burned ; your fields — in your presence , strangers are destroying them — abandoned devastation , overthrown by strangers .
तिमीहरूका देश विनाश भएको छ । तिमीहरूका सहरहरू भष्‍म पारिएका छन् । तिमीहरूका खेतहरू — नचिनेका मानिसहरूले तिमीहरूकै सामु ती नष्‍ट पारिरहेका छन् — उजाड पारेर छोडिएको छ , नचिनेका मानिसहरूले सर्वनाश पारेका छन् ।

If Yahweh of hosts had not left for us a small remnant , we would have been like Sodom , we would have been like Gomorrah .
सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले हाम्रा निम्‍ति थोरै बाँकी रहेका निम्ति नछोड्नुभएको भए , हामी सदोमझैं हुनेथियौं , हामी गमोराझैं हुनेथियौं ।

ए सदोमका शासकहरू हो , परमप्रभुको वचन सुन । ए गमोराका मानिसहरू , हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरको व्यवस्था सुन ।

परमप्रभु भन्‍नुहुन्छ , " तिमीहरूका असंख्‍य बलिदानहरू मेरो निम्‍ति के नै हुन् र ? थुमाहरूका होमबलि र मोटा पशुहरूका बोसो मसित प्रशस्‍त भएको छ । र साँढेहरू , थुमाहरू वा बोकाहरूका रगतमा म खुसी हुन्‍न ।

When you come to appear before me , who has required this⟡ of you , to trample my courts ?
तिमीहरू मेरो सामु देखापर्न आउँदा , यसले मेरा चोकहरू कुल्चोस् भन्‍ने कसको इच्‍छा छ ?

Bring no more meaningless offerings ; incense is an abomination⟡ to me ; your new moon and Sabbath assemblies — I can not tolerate these wicked assemblies .
व्यार्थका बलिदानहरू ल्याउन छोड । धूप मेरो निम्ति घृणित कुरा हो । तिमीहरूका औंसी र सबाथका सभाहरू — यी दुष्‍ट सभाहरू म सहन सक्दिनँ ।

I hate your new moons and your appointed feasts ; they are a burden to me ; I am tired of enduring them .
तिमीहरूका औंसीहरू र तिमीहरूका तोकिएका चाडहरूलाई म घृणा गर्छु । ती मेरो निम्ति बोझ हुन् । ती बोहोरेर म थाकिसकेको छु ।

So when you spread out your hands in prayer , I hide my eyes from you ; even though you offer many prayers , I will not listen ; your hands are full of blood .
त्यसैले तिमीहरूले प्रार्थनामा आफ्‍ना हातहरू फैलाउँदा , तिमीहरूबाट म आफ्‍ना आँखा लुकाउँछु । तिमीहरूले धेरै प्रार्थना चढाए तापनि , म सुन्‍नेछैन । तिमीहरूका हातहरू रगतले भरिएका छन् ।

Wash , cleanse yourselves ; remove the evil of your deeds from my sight ; stop being evil ;
नुहाओ र आफूलाई शुद्ध पार । मेरो दृष्‍टिबाट तिमीहरूका सबै दुष्‍ट कामहरू हटाओ । खराब हुन छोड ।

learn to do good ; seek justice , make straight the oppression , give justice to the fatherless , defend the widow . "
असल गर्न सिक । न्याय खोज , थिचोमिचोमा परेकाहरूलाई छुटाओ , अनाथलाई न्याय देओ र विधवाको रक्षा गर । "

" Come now , and let us reason together , " says Yahweh ; " though your sins are like scarlet , they will be white like snow ; though they are red like crimson , they will be like wool .
परमप्रभु भन्‍नुहुन्छ , " अहिले आओ , हामी मिलेर छलफल गरौं । तिमीहरूका पापहरू बैजनी रङका भए तापनि , ती हिउँजस्‍तै सेता हुनेछन् । ती सिन्दुरे रङका भए तापनि ती ऊनजस्‍तै हुनेछन् ।

If you are willing and obedient , you will eat the good of the land ,
तिमीहरू आज्ञाकारी र इच्‍छुक भयौ भने , तिमीहरूले देशका असल कुरा खानेछौ ,

विश्‍वासयोग्‍य सहर कसरी वेश्या भएको छ ! त्यो न्यायले पुर्ण थियो — त्यो धर्मिकताले भरिपुर्ण थियो , तर अहिले त्यो हत्याराहरूले भरिएको छ ।

तिमीहरूका शासकहरू विद्रोहीहरू र चोरका साथीहरू हुन् । हरेकले घुसलाई प्रेम गर्छ र उपहारको पछि भाग्‍छन् । तिनीहरूले अनाथहरू रक्षा गर्दैनन् , न त न्‍यायको लागि विधवाको बिन्ति नै तिनीहरूका सामु आउँछन् ।

Therefore this is the declaration of the Lord Yahweh of hosts , the Mighty One of Israel : " Woe to them ! I will take vengeance against my adversaries , and avenge myself against my enemies ;
यसकारण सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु , इस्राएलका शक्तिशाली परमपवित्रको घोषणा यो हो , " तिनीहरूलाई धिक्‍कार ! आफ्‍ना विरोधीहरूसँग बदला म लिनेछु र आफ्‍ना शत्रुहरूसँग म टो फेर्नेछु ।

म आफ्‍ना हात तिमीहरूका विरुद्ध उठाउनेछु , अशुद्ध मिश्रण हटाएझैं तिमीहरूका मैला शुद्ध पार्नेछु र तिमीहरूका सबै मैलाहरू हटाउनेछु ।
