" Let Judah mourn ; let her gates waste away . They are wailing for the land ; their cries for Jerusalem are going up .
“ Wayahudi waomboleze⟡ ; basi milango⟡ yake ianguke . Wao wanaomboleza kwa ajili ya ardhi ; Kilio chao kwa Yerusalemu kimepaa juu .

Their mighty ones send out their servants for water . When they go to the trenches , they can not find water . They all return with empty vessels ; they cover their heads ashamed and dishonored .

Even though our iniquities testify against us Yahweh , act for the sake of your name . For our acts of apostasy increase ; we have sinned against you .
Hata ingawa maovu yetu yanatushuhudia , Bwana , tenda kwa ajili ya jina lako . Kwa sababu matendo yetu yasiyo na imani yamezidi ; tumekutenda dhambi .

Yahweh says this⟡ to this people : " Since they love to wander , they have not held back their feet from doing so . " Yahweh is not pleased with them Now he calls to mind their iniquity and has punished their sins .
Bwana awaambia hivi watu hawa⟡ “ Kwa kuwa wanapenda kutanga tanga , hawakuzuia miguu yao kufanya hivyo . ” Bwana hafurahi nao . Sasa anawakumbusha uovu wao na ameadhibu dhambi zao .

Then I said , " Oh , Lord Yahweh ! Behold ! The prophets are saying to the people , ' You will not see the sword ; there will be no famine for you , for I will give you true peace in this place . ' "
Ndipo nikasema , “ Ee , Bwana Mungu ! Angalia ! Manabii wanawaambia watu , ‘ Huwezi kuona upanga ; hakutakuwa na njaa kwako , kwa kuwa nitakupa usalama⟡ wa kweli mahali hapa . ’

Yahweh said to me , " The prophets prophesy deceit in my name . I did not send them out , nor did I give⟡ them any command or speak to them . But deceitful visions and worthless divination and the deceitfulness of their hearts — that is what they are prophesying to you . "
Bwana akaniambia , ‘ manabii wanatabiri uongo kwa jina langu . Sikuwafukuza , wala sikuwapa amri au kusema nao . Lakini maono ya udanganyifu na ya maana , uchawi wa udanganyifu unaotokana na akili zao ndicho wanachowatabiria . ”

Therefore Yahweh says this , " About the prophets prophesying in my name but whom I did not send out — those who say there will be no sword or famine in this land : These⟡ prophets will perish by sword and famine .
Kwa hiyo Bwana asema hivi , “ Kwa habari ya manabii wakihubiri kwa jina langu , ambao mimi sikuwatuma ; wale wanaosema kuwa hakutakuwa na upanga wala njaa katika nchi hii manabii hawa wataangamia kwa upanga na njaa .

Then the people to whom they prophesied will be thrown out in the streets of Jerusalem because of famine and sword , for there will be no one to bury them — them , their wives , their sons , or their daughters⟡ — for I will pour out their wickedness on them .
Na watu waliopewa⟡ utabiri⟡ watafukuzwa nje ya barabara za Yerusalemu kwa sababu ya njaa na upanga ; kwa kuwa hakuna mtu wa kuwazika , na wake zao , na wana wao , wala binti zao ; kwa maana nitamwaga uovu wao wenyewe juu yao .

Say this word to them : ' Let my eyes flow with tears night and day . Do not let them stop , for there will be a great collapse of the virgin daughter of my people — a great and incurable wound .
Sema neno hili kwao ‘ Acha macho yangu yatokwe na machozi , usiku na mchana . Wala yasikome , kwa kuwa kutakuwa na kuanguka⟡ kwa bikira⟡ , binti ya watu wangu - jeraha kubwa lisilotibika .

Ikiwa nitatoka kwenye shamba basi angalia ! Kuna wale waliouawa kwa upanga . Na kama nitakuja mjini , basi , tazama ! Kuna wale walio⟡ na ugonjwa wa njaa . Hata nabii na kuhani wote wanatembea⟡ juu ya nchi bila maarifa . ’

Have you completely rejected Judah ? Do you hate Zion ? Why will you afflict us when there is no healing for us ? We hoped for peace , but there was nothing good — and for a time of healing , but see , there is only terror .
Je ! Umemkataa kabisa Yuda ? Je , unaichukia Sayuni ? Kwa nini umetupiga wakati hakuna uponyaji kwetu ? Tulitumaini amani , lakini hapakuwa na kitu kizuri - na kwa wakati wa uponyaji , lakini tazama , kuna hofu tu .

We admit , Yahweh , our offenses , the iniquity of our ancestors , for we have sinned against you .
