ए सियोनकी छोरी अति धेरै आनन्दले कराऊ ! यरूशलेमकी छोरी खुशीले कराऊ ! हेर ! तिम्रा राजा धार्मिकतामा तिमीकहाँ तिमीलाई बचाउन आउँदै हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँ नम्र हुनुहुन्छ र उहाँ गधामाथि , अर्थात् गधाको बछेडामाथि सवार हुनुहुन्छ ।

अनि म एफ्राइमबाट रथ र यरूशलेमबाट घोडा हटाइदिनेछु , र युद्धबाट धनु हटाइनेछन् , किनभने उहाँले जाति - जातिमा शान्ति घोषणा गर्नुहुनेछ , र एउटा समुद्रदेखि अर्कोसम्म , र नदीदेखि पृथ्वीको छेउ - छेउसम्म उहाँको प्रभुत्व रहनेछ !

सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूको सुरक्षा गर्नुहुनेछ , र तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई नाश गर्नेछन् र घुयेँत्रोका ढुङ्गाहरूलाई पराजय गर्नेछन् । तिनीहरूले पिउनेछन् र मद्यले मातेका मानिसहरुझैँ ठुलो सोरमा कराउनेछन् , र तिनीहरू बटुकाझैँ , र वेदीका छेउहरूझैँ मद्येले भरिनेछन् ।
