Hear the word of Yahweh , you people of Israel . Yahweh has a lawsuit against the inhabitants of the land , because there is no truthfulness or covenantal faithfulness , no knowledge of God in the land .
ए इस्राएलका मानिस हो , परमप्रभुको वचन सुन । यस देशका वासिन्दाहरूको विरुद्धमा परमप्रभुको एउटा मुद्धा छ , किनभने देशमा सत्यता , करारको विश्‍वस्‍तता , परमप्रभुको ज्ञान छैन ।

There is cursing , lying , killing , stealing and adultery . The people have broken all bounds , and bloodshed comes after bloodshed .
त्यहाँ सराप , झुटो बोली , हत्या , चोरी र व्यभिचार छ । मानिसहरूले सबै सीमा तोडेका छन् , र रगत बगेपछि रगत बगेको छ ।

So the land is drying up , and everyone living in it is wasting away ; the beasts in the fields and the birds in the sky , even the fish in the sea , are being taken away .
यसैले त्यो देश सुख्‍खा हुँदैछ , र त्यहाँ बसोबास गर्ने सबै खेर जाँदैछन् । मैदानका पशुहरू , आकाशका चराहरू , र समुद्र भएका माछासमेत मारिंदैछन् ।

तिमी पुजारीहरू दिनमा ठेस खानेछौ । तिमीहरूसँगै अगमवक्ताहरू पनि रातमा ठेस खानेछन् , र तिमीहरूकी आमालाई म नष्‍ट गर्नेछु ।

My people are being destroyed because of the lack of knowledge . Because you priests have rejected knowledge , I will also reject you as priests to me . Because you have forgotten my law , although⟡ I am your God , I also will forget your children .
मेरा मानिसहरू ज्ञानको कमिले गर्दा नष्‍ट भइरहेका छन् । तिमी पुजारीहरूले ज्ञानलाई इन्कार गरेको कारणले , तिमीहरूलाई मेरो पुजारी हुनबाट म पनि इन्कार गर्नेछु । तिमीहरूले मेरो व्यवस्थालाई बिर्सेका कारणले , म तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर भए पनि म तिमीहरूका छोराछोरीलाई बिर्सनेछु ।

The more the priests multiplied , the more they sinned against me . They exchanged their honor for shame .
पुजारीहरूका सङ्ख्या जति धैरै वृद्धि भयो , त्‍यति नै धेरै तिनीहरूले मेरो विरूद्धमा पाप गरे । आफ्नो आदरलाई तिनीहरूले लाजसँग साटे ।

My people consult their wooden idols , and their walking sticks give them prophecies . For a mind of promiscuity has misled⟡ them , and they have acted as prostitutes instead of being faithful to their God .
मेरा मानिसहरूले काठका मूर्तिहरूसँग सल्लाह लिन्छन् , र तिनीहरूका लौरोले तिनीहरूलाई अगमवाणीहरू दिन्छन् । किनभने यौनको छाडापनको विचारले तिनीहरूलाई भ्रममा पारेको छ , र आफ्‍ना परमेश्‍वरमा विश्‍वसयोग्‍य हुन छोडेर वेश्‍याहरूले जस्‍तो व्यवहार तिनीहरूले गरेका छन् ।

They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains and burn incense on the hills , under oaks , poplars and terebinths , because the shade is good . So your daughters commit sexual immorality , and your daughters-in-law commit adultery .
पर्वतका टाकुराहरूमा तिनीहरूले बलि चढाउँछन् र पहाडहरूमा , फलाँट , लहरे - पीपल र तारपीनका फेदमा धूप बाल्छन् , किनभने छाया शितल हुन्छ । यसैले तिमीहरूका छोरीहरूले यौनका अनैतिक काम गर्छन् , अनि तिमीहरूका बुहारीहरूले व्यभिचार गर्छन् ।

I will not punish your daughters when they choose to commit sexual immorality , nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery . For the men also give themselves to the prostitutes , and they offer sacrifices so they can commit immoral acts with sacred prostitutes . So this people who does not understand will be thrown down .
तिमीहरूका छोरीहरूले यौनका अनैतिक काम गर्दा म तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनेछैन , न त तिमीहरूका बुहारीहरूले व्यभिचार गर्दा तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनेछु । किनकि पुरुषहरूले पनि आफैंलाई वेश्‍याहरूकहाँ दिन्छन् , र पवित्र वेश्‍याहरूसँग तिनीहरूले अनैतिक काम गर्न सकून् भनेर तिनीहरू बलिदानहरू चढाउँछन् । यी मानिसहरू जसले बुझ्‍दैनन् , तिनीहरू तल फालिनेछन् ।

Though you , Israel , have committed adultery , may Judah not become guilty . Do not go to Gilgal , you people ; do not go up to Beth Aven , and do not swear , saying , " As Yahweh lives . "
तँ इस्राएलले व्यभिचार गरेको भए पनि , यहूदाचाहिं दोषी नहोस् । ए मानिस हो , तिमीहरू गिलगालमा नजाओ माथि बेथ - आवनमा नजाओ , र “ परमप्रभु जिउँदो हुनुभएझैं ” भनेर शपथ नखाओ ।
