Whenever I want to heal Israel , the sin of Ephraim is exposed , as well as the evil deeds of Samaria , for they practice⟡ deceit ; a thief comes in , and a marauding band attacks in the street .
मैले इस्राएललाई निको पार्ने इच्‍छा गर्दा , एफ्राइमको पाप र सामरियाका दुष्‍ट कामहरू प्रकट हुन्छन् , किनकि तिनीहरू धोकापूर्ण काम गर्छन् । एक जना चोर भित्र प्रवेश गर्छ , र डाँकूहरूको समुहले सडकमा आक्रमण गर्छ ।

तिनीहरूका सबै दुष्‍ट कामलाई मैले याद गर्छु , भनी तिनीहरूले आफ्नो हृदयहरूमा महसुस नै गर्दैनन् । अब तिनीहरूका कामहरूले तिनीहरूलाई नै घेर्छन् । ती मेरो अनुहारको सामु छन् ।

इस्राएलको घमण्डले आफ्‍नै विरुद्ध गवाही दिन्छ , तापनि तिनीहरू परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना परमेश्‍वरतिर फर्केका छैनन् , न त यी सबै कुरापछि पनि तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई खोजेका छन् ।

एफ्राइमचाहिं सजिलै छकाउन सकिने र विवेकहीन ढुकुरजस्‍तो छ , मिश्रदेशलाई पुकारा गर्दैछ , त्‍यसपछि अश्‍शूरतिर उड्दैछ ।

जब तिनीहरू जान्छन् , तब तिनीहरूमाथि म आफ्‍नो जाल फैलाउनेछु , आकाशका चराहरूझैं तिनीहरूलाई म तल खसाल्‍नेछु । तिनीहरू एकसाथ जम्‍मा हुँदा म तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनेछु ।

तिनीहरूलाई धिक्‍कार छ ! किनकि तिनीहरू मबाट टाढा बहकिएका छन् । तिनीहरूमाथि विनाश आउँदै छ ! तिनीहरूले मेरो विरुद्ध विद्रोह गरेका छन् ! मैले तिनीहरूलाई बचाउन सक्‍थें , तर तिनीहरूले मेरो विरुद्धमा झुट बोले ।

They have not cried to me with all their heart , but they wail on their beds . They gather together for grain and new wine , and they turn away from me .
आफ्ना सारा हृदयले , तिनीहरूले मसँग पुकारा गरेका छैनन् , तर आफ्ना ओछ्यानमा तिनीहरू विलाप गर्छन् । अन्‍न , र नयाँ दाखमद्यको निम्ति तिनीहरू एकसाथ भेला हुन्छन् , र तिनीहरू मबाट टाढा जान्छन् ।

Though I trained them and strengthened their arms , they are now plotting evil against me .

तिनीहरू फर्कन्छन् , तर म , अर्थात् सर्वोच्‍चतिर भने फर्कंदैनन् । तिनीहरू धोका दिने धनुझैं छन् । आफ्ना जिब्रोको निर्लज्‍जताका कारणले , तिनीहरूका अधिकारीहरू तरवारले मारिनेछन् । मिश्रदेशमा यही तिनीहरूको उपहास हुनेछ ।
