इस्राएलका सबै मानिस माझमा म घुमफिर गरेका सबै ठाउँमा , मेरा मानिस इस्राएलका रेखदेख गर्न मैले नियुक्‍ति गरेका इस्राएलका कुनै पनि अगुवालाई मैले कहिलै यसो भनें र , " तैंले मेरो निम्ति किन देवदारुको मन्‍दिर बनाएको छैनस् ? "

Now then , tell my servant David , " This⟡ is what Yahweh of hosts says : ' I took you from the pasture , from following the sheep , so that you would be ruler over my people Israel .
अब उप्रान्‍त , मेरो सेवक दाऊदलाई यसो भन् , ' सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु भन्‍नुहुन्छ , ' मैले तँलाई खर्कबाट , भेडाहरूको पछिपछि हिंड्न छोडेर बोलाएँ , ताकि तैंले मेरा मानिस इस्राएलाई शासन गर्नुपर्छ ।

I have been with you wherever you went . I have cut off all your enemies from before you . Now I will make your name great , like the names of the great ones of the earth .

म आफ्‍ना मानिस इस्राएलको निम्ति एउटा स्थान नियुक्‍ति गर्नेछु र तिनीहरूलाई म त्यहाँ राख्‍ने छु , ताकि तिनीहरू आफ्नै ठाउँमा बसोबास गरुन् र फेरि समस्‍या नपरुन् । दुष्‍ट मानिसहरूले पहिले गरेझैं फेरि तिनीहरूलाई थिचोमिचो गर्ने छैनन् ।

as they were doing from the days that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel . Now I will give you rest from all your enemies . Moreover , I , Yahweh declare to you that I will make you a house .
जस्तो मेरा मानिस इस्राएलका निम्ति न्यायकर्ता हुनलाई मैले आज्ञा गरेका दिनहरूदेखि नै तिनीहरूले गरिरहेका थिए । अब तेरा सबै शत्रुबाट म तँलाई विश्राम दिने छु । यसको साथै , म परमप्रभुले तँलाई भन्‍छु कि म तेरो निम्ति एउटा घराना बनाउने छु ।

When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers , I will raise up a descendant after you , one who will come out from your body , and I will establish his kingdom .
जब तेरो दिन पुरा हुने छ र तँ आफ्‍ना पुर्खाहरूसँग सुत्‍ने छस् , तब तँपछिको तेरो सन्तानलाई म खडा गर्ने छु , जो तेरै शरीरबाट आउने छ र म त्यसको राज्य स्थापित गर्ने छु ।

He will build a house for my name , and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever .
त्यसैले मेरो नाउँको निम्ति एउटा मन्‍दिर बनाउने छ र म त्यसको सिंहासनलाई सदाको निम्ति स्थापित गर्ने छु ।

You did this so that they would become a people for yourself , to make a name for yourself , and to do great and fearful deeds for your land . तपाईंको मानिस इस्राएलजस्तो कुन जाति छ , एउटा यस्तो जाति जसलाई तपाईं परमेश्‍वर आफैं गएर छुटकारा दिनुभयो ? तपाईंले यो गर्नुभयो ताकि तपाईंको आफ्‍नो नाउँ महान् बनाउन , र तपाईंको देशको निम्ति डरलाग्‍दा कामहरू गर्न तिनीहरू तपाईंका मानिसहरू हुन सकुन् । जातिहरूलाई र तिनीहरूका देवताहरूलाई तपाईंले आफ्‍ना मानिसहरूका सामुबाट धपाउनुभयो , जसलाई तपाईंले मिश्रदेशबाट छुटकारा दिनुभयो ।

अब उप्रान्त , आफ्नो सेवकको घरानालाई आशिष् दिन प्रशन्‍न हुनुहोस् , ताकि तपाईंको सामु यो सदा रहिरहोस् । किनकि हे परमप्रभु , तपाईंले यी कुराहरू भन्‍नुभएको छ र तपाईंको आशिष्‌ले तपाईंको सेवकको घरानाले सदा आशिष् पाउने छ ।
