Then David the king rose⟡ to his feet⟡ and said , " Listen to me , my brothers and my people . It was my intention to build a temple for the ark of the covenant of Yahweh ; a footstool for our God , and I have made preparations to build⟡ it .
तब दाऊद राजा खडा भए र यसो भने , “ ए मेरा दाजुभाइ र मेरा मानिसहरू हो , मेरा कुरा सुन्‍नुहोस् । परमप्रभुको करारका सन्‍दूकको निम्‍ति एउटा मन्‍दिर , हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरको निम्‍ति एउटा पाउदान बनाउने मेरो इच्‍छा थियो , अनि मैले त्‍यो निर्माण गर्नलाई तयारी पनि गरें ।

But God said to me , ' You will not build a temple for my name , because you are a man of war and have shed blood . '
तर परमेश्‍वरले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो , ‘ मेरो नाउँको निम्‍ति तैंले मन्‍दिर बनाउनेछैनस् , किनभने तँ लडाइँ गर्ने मानिस होस् , र तैंले रक्तपात गरेको छस् । ’

Yet Yahweh , the God of Israel , chose me from all my father 's family to be king over Israel forever . He has chosen the tribe of Judah as leader . In the tribe of Judah , and in my father 's household , out of all my father 's sons , he chose me to be king over all Israel .
तापनि परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वरले मेरा पिताका सबै परिवारबाट सदासर्वदाको निम्‍ति इस्राएलमाथि राज्‍य गर्न मलाई चुन्‍नुभयो । उहाँले यहूदाको कुललाई अगुवाको रूपमा चुन्‍नुभएको छ । यहूदाको कुलमा , र मेरो पिताको परिवारमा , मेरा पिताका छोराहरूमध्‍येबाट सारा इस्राएलमा राजा हुनलाई उहाँले मलाई चुन्‍नुभयो ।

He said to me , ' Solomon your son will build my house and my courtyards⟡ , for I have chosen him to be my son , and I will be his father .
उहाँले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो , ‘ तेरो छोरा सोलोमनले नै मेरो मन्‍दिर र मेरा चोकहरू बनाउनेछ , किनकि मैले त्‍यसलाई मेरो छोरा हुनलाई चुनेको छु र म उसका पिता हुनेछु ।

आजको दिनसम्‍म तैंले गरेझैं उसले मेरा आज्ञा र विधानहरू दृढतापूर्वक पालन गर्‍यो भने , म उसको राज्‍य सदासर्वदाको निम्‍ति स्थापित गर्नेछु । ’

Now then , in the sight of all Israel , this assembly for Yahweh , and in the presence of our God , all of you must keep and try to carry out all the commandments of Yahweh your God . Do this so that you may possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance to your children after you forever .
अब सारा इस्राएलको नजरमा परमप्रभुको निम्ति र हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरको उपस्‍थितीमा भएको यो सभामा तिमीहरू सबैले परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना परमेश्‍वरका आज्ञाहरू पालना गर्नु र निरन्तरता दिनुपर्छ । यसो गर ताकि तिमीहरू यस असल देशलाई अधिकार गर्नेछौ र आफ्‍नो पैतृकअंशझैं तिमीहरूपछिका सन्‍तानहरूलाई दिन सक्‍नेछौ ।

As for you , Solomon my son , obey the God of your father , and serve him with your whole heart and a willing spirit . Do this because Yahweh searches all hearts and understands every motivation of everyone 's thoughts . If you seek him , he will be found⟡ by you , but if you abandon him , he will reject you permanently .
ए मेरा छोरा सोलोमन , आफ्‍ना बुबाका परमेश्‍वरको आज्ञा पालन गर , र आफ्‍ना सारा हृदय र राजीखुशीले उहाँको सेवा गर । यसो गर , किनभने परमप्रभुले सबै हृदयलाई खोतल्‍नुहुन्‍छ र हरेक व्‍यक्‍तिको विचारहरूका हरेक उदेश्‍य बुझ्‍नुहुन्‍छ । तिमीले उहाँलाई खोज्‍यौ भने तिमीले उहाँलाई भेट्टाउनेछौ , तर तिमीले उहाँलाई त्‍याग्‍यौ भने , उहाँले तिमीलाई सधैंको निम्‍ति इन्‍कार गर्नुहुनेछ ।

तब दाऊदले आफ्‍ना छोरा सोलोमनलाई मन्‍दिरको दलान र त्‍यसका भवन , भण्‍डारहरू , कौसीहरू , भित्री कोठाहरू र प्रायश्‍चित गर्ने कोठाका नक्‍शा दिए ।

दाऊदले आफ्‍ना छोरा सोलोमनलाई भने , “ बलियो र साहसी होऊ । यो काम गर । नडराऊ र निरुत्‍साहित नहोऊ , किनकि परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वर , मेरा परमेश्‍वर तिम्रो साथमा हुनुहुन्छ । परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरका सेवाको निम्‍ति सबै काम तिमीले पूरा नगरुञ्‍जेल उहाँले न त तिमीलाई छोड्‍नुहुनेछ न तिमीलाई त्‍याग्‍नुहुनेछ ।

See , here are the divisions of the priests and Levites for all the service in God 's temple . They will be with you , together with all willing and skillful men , to assist you in the work and to perform the service . The officials and all the people are ready to follow your commands . "
हेर , परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरका सबै सेवा गर्न पुजारी र लेवीका दलहरू तयार छन् । तिम्रो काममा सहायता गर्न र सेवाको काम गर्नलाई तिनीहरू र खुशीसाथ कुनै पनि काम गर्ने सिपालु मानिसहरू तिम्रो साथमा हुनेछन् । अधिकारीहरू र सबै मानिसहरू तिम्रो हरेक आज्ञा शिरोपर गर्न तयार छन् । ”
