Samuel said to all Israel , " I have listened to everything you said to me , and I have set a king over you .
शमूएलले सबै इस्राएलीलाई भने , " तिमीहरूले मलाई भेनका हरेक कुरा मैले सुनेको छु र मैले तिमीहरूमाथि एक जना राजा नियुक्‍त गरेको छु ।

Now , here is the king walking before you ; and I am old and gray ; and , my sons are with you . I have walked before you from my youth until today .
अब यहाँ तिमीहरूको सामु राहा हिंड्‍दैछन् । अनि म वृद्ध भएको छु र मेरो कपाल फुलेको छ । अनि मेरा छोराहरू तिमीहरूसँगै छन् । मेरो बाल्यकालदेखि आजसम्म पनि म तिमीहरूका सामु हिंडेकोछु ।

म यहाँ छु । परमप्रभु र उहाँको अभिषिक्‍त जनको सामु मेरो विरुद्ध गवाही देओ । मैले कसैको गोरु लिएको छु ? मैले कसैको गधा लिएको छु ? मैले कसैलाई ठगेको छु ? मैले कसैलाई थिचोमिचो गरेको छु ? मेरा आँखाहरूलाई अन्धा तुल्याउन मैले कसैबाट घूस लिएको छु ? मेरो विरुद्ध गवाही देओ र म तिमीहरूलाई त्‍यो फर्काइदिनेछु । "

तिनले उनीहरूलाई भने , " परमप्रभु तिमीहरू विरुद्ध साक्षी हुनुहुन्छ र आज उहाँका अभिषिक्‍त जन साक्षी छन् , कि तिमीहरूले मेरो हातमा कुनै कुरा भेट्टाएका छैनौ । " तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए , " परमप्रभु साक्षी हुनुहुन्छ । "

Samuel said to the people , " It is Yahweh who appointed Moses and Aaron , and who brought your fathers up from the land of Egypt .
शमूएलले मानिसहरूलाई भने , " मोशा र हारूनलाई नियुक्‍त गर्नुहुने र तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट ल्याउनुहुने परमप्रभु नै हुनुहुन्छ ।

Now then , present yourself , so that I may plead with you before Yahweh about all of the righteous deeds of Yahweh , which he did for you and your fathers .
त्‍यसो हो भने अब आफैलाई हाजिर गराऊ ताकि मैले तिमीहरू सँगै परमप्रभुका सबै धार्मिक कार्यहरूबारे उहाँको सामु निवेदन गर्नेछु जुन उहाँले तिमीहरू र तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका निम्ति गर्नुभयो ।

When Jacob came⟡ to Egypt , and your ancestors cried out to Yahweh , then Yahweh sent Moses and Aaron , who led your ancestors out of Egypt and they settled in this place .
जब याकूब मिश्रदेशमा गए , र तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूले परमप्रभुसँग पुकारा गरे तब परमप्रभुले मोशा र हारून पठाउनुभयो जसले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई मिश्रदैशबाट बाहिर ल्याए र तिनीहरू यस ठाउँमा बसोबास गरे ।

But they forgot Yahweh their God ; he sold them into the hand of Sisera , captain of the armies of Hazor , into the hand of the Philistines , and into the hand of the king of Moab ; these all fought⟡ against your ancestors .
तर तिनीहरूले परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना परमेश्‍वरलाई बिर्से । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई हासोरका कप्‍तान सिसेराको हातमा , पलिश्तीहरूका हातमा र मोआबका राजाको हातमा बेच्नुभयो । यी सबैले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरू विरुद्ध युद्ध गरे ।

They cried out to Yahweh and said , ' We have sinned , because we have forsaken Yahweh and have served the Baals and the Ashtoreths . But now rescue us from the hand of our enemies , and we will serve you . '
तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुलाई पुकारा गरे र भने , ' हामीले पाप गरेका छौं , किनभने हामीले परमप्रभुलाई त्यागेका छौं र बाल र अश्तोरेत देवताहरूको सेवा गरेका छौं । तर अब हामीलाई हाम्रा शत्रुहरूका हातबाट छुटकारा दिनुहोस् र हामीले तपाईंको सेवा गर्नेछौं । ’

So Yahweh sent Jerub Baal , Bedan , Jephthah , and Samuel , and gave you victory over your enemies all around you , so that you lived in security .
त्यसैले परमप्रभुले यरूब - बाल , बाराक , यिप्‍ता र शमूएललाई पठाउनुभयो र तिमीहरू वरिपरिका सबै शत्रुमाथि विजय दिनुभयो , ताकि तिमीहरू सुरक्षामा बसोबास गर्न पाओ ।

When you saw that Nahash the king of the people of Ammon came⟡ against you , you said to me , ' No ! Instead , a king must reign over us ' — although⟡ Yahweh your God , was your king .
जब तिमीहरूले अम्मोनका मानिसहरूका राजा नाहाश तिमीहरू विरुद्ध आएको देख्यौ , तब तिमीहरूले मलाई भन्यौ , ' होइन , बरु हामीमाथि राजाले राज्‍य गर्नुपर्छ , ’ — यद्यपि परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर नै तिमीहरूका राजा हुनुहुन्थ्यो ।

Now here is the king whom you have chosen , whom you have asked for and whom Yahweh has now appointed as king over you .
अब तिमीहरूले चुनेका र तिमीहरूले मागेका राजा यहाँ छन् जसलाई परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूमाथि राजाको रूपमा नियुक्‍त गर्नुभएको छ ।

If you fear Yahweh , serve him , obey his voice , and not rebel against the command of Yahweh , then both you and the king who reigns over you will be followers of Yahweh your God .
तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुको भय मान्यौ , उहाँको सेवा गर्‍यौ र परमप्रभुको आज्ञा विरुद्ध विद्रोह गरेनौ भने , तिमीहरू र तिमीहरूमाथि राज्‍य गर्ने राजा दुवैले परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको अनुसरण गर्नेछौ ।

If you do not obey the voice of Yahweh , but rebel against the commands of Yahweh , then Yahweh 's hand will be against you , as it was against your ancestors .
तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुको आवाज पालन गर्दैनौ , तर परमप्रभुको आज्ञाको विरुद्ध वोद्रिह गर्छौ भने , परमप्रभुको हात तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा हुनेछ , जसरी त्‍यो तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूको विरुद्धमा थियो ।

Is it not the wheat harvest today ? I will call upon Yahweh , that he may send thunder and rain . Then you will know and see that your wickedness is great , which you have done in the sight of Yahweh , in asking for yourselves a king . "
के आज गहुँ कटानीको समय होइन ? म परमप्रभुलाई पुकार्छु ताकि उहाँले गर्जन र झरी पठाउनुहुनेछ । तब तिमीहरूको दुष्‍टता माहन् छ भनी तिमीहरूले जान्‍ने र देख्‍नेछौ , जुन तिमीहरूले आफ्नो निम्ति राजा मागेर परमप्रभुको दृष्‍टिमा गरेका छौ । ”

So Samuel called to Yahweh ; and that same day Yahweh sent thunder and rain . Then all the people greatly feared Yahweh and Samuel .
त्यसैले शमूएलले परमप्रभुलाई पुकारा गरे । अनि त्यसै दिन परमप्रभुले गर्जन र झरी पठाउनुभयो । तब सबै मानिस परमप्रभु र शमूएलको भय धेरै भयो ।

Then all the people said to Samuel , " Pray for your servants to Yahweh your God , so that we do not die . For we have added to all our sins this evil in asking for a king for ourselves . "
तब सबै मानिसले शमूएललाई भने , " तपाईंका सेवकहरूका निम्ति परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना परमेश्‍वरसँग प्रार्थना गरिदिनुहोस् , ताकि हामी मर्नेछैनौं । किनकि हामीले आफ्‍नो निम्ति राजा मागेर हाम्रा सबै पापमाथि यो दुष्‍टता थपेका छौं ।

Samuel replied , " Do not be afraid . You have done all this evil , but do not turn away from Yahweh , but serve Yahweh with all your heart .
शमूएलले जवाफ दिए , " नडराओ । तिमीहरूले यी सबै दुष्‍टता गरेकाछौ , तर परमप्रभुबाट नफर्क , र आफ्‍ना सारा हृदयले परमप्रभुको सेवा गर ।

For the sake of his great name , Yahweh will not reject his people , because it has pleased Yahweh to make you a people for himself .

As for me , far be it from me that I should sin against Yahweh by ceasing to pray for you . Instead , I will teach you the way that is good and right .
मेरो बारेमा , मैले तिमीहरूको निम्ति प्रार्थना गर्न छोडेर परमप्रभुको विरुद्धमा पाप गर्ने कुरा मबाट परै रहोस् । बरु म तिमीहरूलाई असल र ठिक मार्ग सिकाउनेछु ।

Only fear Yahweh and serve him in truth with all your heart . Consider the great things he has done for you .
आफ्‍ना सारा हृदायले परमप्रभुको मात्र भय मान र उहाँको सेवा गर । उहाँले तिमीहरूका निम्ति गर्नुभएको महान् कुराहरूका बारेमा विचार गर ।

But if you persist in doing evil , both you and your king will be destroyed . "
