Balaam said to Balak , " Build⟡ seven altars here for me and prepare seven bulls and seven rams . "
बालामले बालाकलाई भने , " यहाँ मेरो निम्ति सातवटा वेदी निर्माण गर्नुहोस् , र सातवटा साँढे र सातवटा भेडा तयार पार्नुहोस् ।

So Balak did as Balaam requested . Then Balak and Balaam offered a bull and a ram on every altar .
बालाकले बालामले भनेजस्तै गरे । अनि बालाक र बालामले हरेक वेदीमा एउटा - एउटा साँढे र भेडा बलि चढाए ।

Then Balaam said to Balak , " Stand at your burnt offering and I will go . Perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me . Whatever he shows me I will tell you . " So he went away to a hilltop with no trees .
अनि बालामले बालाकलाई भने , " तपाईं आफ्‍नो बलिदानको छेउमा खडा हुनुहोस् र म जाने छु । सायद परमप्रभु मलाई भेट्न आउनुहुने छ । उहाँले मलाई जे देखाउनुहुन्छ , सो म गर्ने छु । " त्यसैले तिनी कुनै रुख नभएको पहडाको चुचुरोतिर गए ।

While he was on the hilltop , God met him , and Balaam said to him , " I have built seven altars , and I have offered up a bull and a ram on each one . "
तिनी पहाडको टुप्पोमा हुँदा परमेश्‍वरले तिनलाई भेट्नुभयो र बालामले उहाँलाई भने , " मैले सातवटा वेदी बनाएको छु र मैले हरेक वेदीमा एउटा - एउटा साँढे र भेडा बलि चढाएको छु । "

Yahweh put a message in Balaam 's mouth and said , " Return to Balak and speak to him . "
परमप्रभुले बालामको मुखमा वचन हालिदिनुभयो र भन्‍नुभयो , " बालाककहाँ फर्केर जा र त्यसलाई भन् । "

So Balaam returned to Balak , who was standing by his burnt offering , and all the leaders of Moab were with him .
त्यसैले बालाम बालाककहाँ फर्के , जो आफ्‍नो बलिदानको छेउमा उभिरहेका थिए र मोआबका सबै अगुवा तिनीसँग थिए ।

Then Balaam began to speak his prophecy⟡ and said , " Balak has brought me from Aram , the king of Moab from the eastern mountains . ' Come , curse Jacob for me , ' he said . ' Come , defy Israel . '
बालामले अगमवाणी कहन थाले र भने , " मोआबका राजा बालाकले मलाई पूर्वका पहाडहरूबाट अर्थात् अरामबाट ल्याएका छन् । तिनले भने , ' आउनुहोस् मेरो निम्ति याकूबलाई सराप दिनुहोस् । ' ' आउनुहोस् , इस्राएललाई धम्की दिनुहोस् । '

How can I curse those whom God has not cursed ? How can I oppose those whom Yahweh does not oppose ?
परमेश्‍वरले नै सराप नदिनुभएकालाई मैले कसरी सराप दिन सक्छु ? परमप्रभुले नै विरोध नगर्नुभएकाहरूलाई मैले कसरी विरोध गर्न सक्छु ?

For from the top of the rocks I see him ; from the hills I look at him . See , there is a people who live alone and do not consider themselves as just an ordinary nation .
म तिनलाई पहाडको चुचुरोबाट देख्छु ; म तिनलाई पहाडबाट हेर्छु । हेर्नुहोस् , एक्लै बस्‍ने मानिसहरू र आफूलाई साधारण जातिको रूपमा ठान्दैनन् ।

Who can count the dust of Jacob or number even only one - fourth of Israel ? Let me die the death of a righteous person , and let my life 's end be like his ! "
याकूबको धूलोलाई वा इस्राएलको एक चौथाइलाई मात्र पनि कसले गन्‍न सक्छ ? मेरो मरण धार्मिक व्यक्‍तिको जस्तो होस् र मेरो जीवन त्यसको जस्तै होस् ! "

Balak said to Balaam , " What have you done to me ? I brought you to curse my enemies , but look , you have blessed them . "
बालाकले बालामलाई भने , " तपाईंले मलाई के गर्नुभएको ? मेरा शत्रुहरूलाई सराप दिनुहोस् भनी मैले तपाईंलाई ल्याएँ , तर हे्र्नुहोस् , तपाईंले त तिनीहरूलाई आशिष् दिनुभयो । "

Balaam answered and said , " Should I not be careful to say only what Yahweh puts in my mouth ? "
बालामले जवाफ दिए र भने , " के परमप्रभुले मेरो मुखमा जे हाल्नुहुन्छ सो मात्र भन्‍न म सावधान हुनुपर्दैन र ? "

So Balak said to him , " Please come with me to another place where you can see them . You will only see the nearest of them , not all of them . There you will curse them for me . "
बालाकले तिनलाई भने , " कृपया मसँग अर्को ठाउँमा आउनुहोस् जहाँबाट तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई देख्‍न सक्‍नुहुन्छ । तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई नजिकको मात्र देख्‍नुहुने छ , तर तिनीहरू सबैलाई देख्‍नुहुने छैन । तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई त्यहाँबाट सराप दिनुहुने छ । "

So he took Balaam into the field of Zophim , to the top of Mount Pisgah , and built seven more altars . He offered up a bull and a ram on each altar .
त्यसैले तिनले बालामलाई सोफीमको मैदानमा भएको पिसगाको टाकुरामा लगे , र अरू सातवटा वेदी बनाए । तिनले हरेकमा एउटा - एउटा साँढे र भेडा बलि चढाए ।

Then Balaam said to Balak , " Stand here by your burnt offering , while I meet with Yahweh over there . "

So Yahweh met Balaam and put a message in his mouth . He said , " Return to Balak and give him my message . "
त्यसैले परमप्रभुले बालामलाई भेट्नुभयो र तिनको मुखमा सन्देश हालिदिनुभयो । तिनले भने , " बालाककहाँ जा र तिनलाई मेरो सन्देश दे । "

Balaam returned to him , and look , he was standing by his burnt offering , and the leaders of Moab were with him . Then Balak said to him , " What has Yahweh said ? "
बालाम तिनीकहाँ फर्केर आए र तिनी आफ्नो होमबलिको छेउमा उभिरहेका थिए र मोआबका अगुवाहरू तिनीसँग थिए । अनि बालाकले तिनलाई भने , " परमप्रभुले के भन्‍नुभयो ? "

Balaam began his prophecy⟡ . He said , " Rise⟡ up , Balak , and hear . Listen to me , you son of Zippor .
बालामले अगमवाणी गर्न थाले , " उठ् बालाक र सुन् । हे सिप्पोरका छोरा मेरो कुरा सुन् ।

God is not a man , that he should lie , Or a human being , that he should change his mind . Has he promised anything without doing it ? Has he said he would do something without carrying it out ?
परमेश्‍वर मानिस वा मानव हुनुहुन्‍न कि उहाँले ढाँट्नुपरोस् , उहाँले आफ्नो मन बदल्नुपरोस् । के उहाँले पुरा नगर्ने गरी कुनै कुरा प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको छ ? के उहाँले कुनै गर्छु भनेर पुरा गर्नुभएको छैन र ?

Look , I have been commanded to bless . God has given a blessing , and I can not reverse it .
हेर्नुहोस् , आशिष् दिने आज्ञा मलाई दिइएको छ । परमेश्‍वरले आशिष् दिनुभएको छ र म यसलाई उल्टाउन सक्दिनँ ।

He has seen no hardship in Jacob or trouble in Israel . Yahweh their God is with them , and shouts for their king are among them .
उहाँले याकूबसँग कुनै कठिनाइ वा इस्राएलमा कुनै कष्‍ट देख्‍नुभएको छैन । परमप्रभु तिनीहरूका परमेश्‍वर तिनीहरूसँग हुनुहुन्छ र तिनीहरूका राजाको जय - ध्वनि तिनीहरूमाझ छ ।

God brought them out of Egypt with strength like that of a wild ox .
परमेश्‍वरले तिनीहरूलाई जङ्गली गोरुको जस्तै शक्‍तिले मिश्रबाट ल्याउनुभयो ।

There is no sorcery that works against Jacob , and no fortune - telling harms Israel . Instead , it must be said about Jacob and Israel , ' Look what God has done ! '
याकूब विरुद्ध कुनै टुनामुनाले काम गर्दैन र इस्राएललाई कुनै जोखनाले हानि पुर्‍याउँदैन । बरु , याकूब र इस्राएलबारे यसो भन्‍नुपर्छ , ' हेर , परमेश्‍वरले के गर्नुभएको छ ! '

Look , the people rise like a lioness⟡ , as a lion emerges and attacks . He does not lie down until he eats his victim and drinks the blood of what he has killed . "
हेर , मानिसहरू सिंहनीजस्तै उठ्छन् , सिंहजस्तै उठ्छन् र आक्रमण गर्छन् । त्यो आफ्नो सिकारलाई नखाएसम्म र त्यसले मारेको सिकारको रगत नपिएसम्म आराम गर्दैन । "

Then Balak said to Balaam , " Do not curse them or bless them at all . "

So Balak replied to Balaam , " Come now , I will take you to another place . Perhaps it will please⟡ God for you to curse them there for me . "
त्यसैले बालाकले बालामलाई जावाफ दिए , " अब आउनुहोस् , म तपाईंलाई अर्को ठाउँमा लैजान्छु । सायद त्यहाँबाट मेरो निम्ति तिनीहरूलाई सराप दिन परमेश्‍वरले इच्छा गर्नुहुने छ । "

So Balak took Balaam to the top of Mount Peor , which looks down on the wilderness .
