परमप्रभुले भन्‍नुभएको कुरा पूरा गर्नुभएको छ , किनकि परमप्रभुले प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएबमोजिम मेरो बुबा दाऊदको सट्टामा म खडा भएको छु , र इस्राएलको सिंहासनमा म बसेको छु । परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वरको नाउँको निम्‍ति मैले यो मन्‍दिर बनाएको छु ।

किनकि तिनले पाँच हात लामो , पाँच हात चौडा र तीन हात अग्‍लो काँसाको एउटा मञ्‍च बनाएका थिए । तिनले त्यसलाई चोकको बीचमा राखेका थिए । तिनी त्‍यसमाथि खडा भए र इस्राएलका सारा समुदायको उपस्‍थितिमा घुँडा टेके , र तिनले आफ्‍ना हात स्‍वर्गतिर फैलाए ।

Now then , Yahweh , God of Israel , carry out what you have promised to your servant David my father , when you said , ' You will not fail to have a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel , if only your descendants are careful to walk in my law , as you have walked before me . '
अब हे परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वर , आफ्‍ना दास मेरा बुबा दाऊदसित गर्नुभएको यो प्रतिज्ञा पूरा गर्नुहोस् , जब तपाईंले भन्‍नुभयो , ‘ तँ मेरो सामु हिंडेझैं तेरा सन्तानहरू मेरो व्‍यवस्‍था पालन गर्ने कुरामा होसियार भए भने , इस्राएलको सिंहासनमा बस्‍नलाई कहिलै पनि तेरो निम्‍ति मानिसको अभाव हुनेछैन । ’

Now then , Yahweh , God of Israel , let your word be confirmed , which you have spoken to your servant David .

But will God actually live⟡ with mankind on the earth ? Look , the entire universe and heaven itself can not contain you — how much less can this temple that I have built !
तर के परमेश्‍वर साँच्‍चै नै मानिससित पृथ्‍वीमा बस्‍नुहुन्‍छ र ? हेर्नुहोस् , सारा संसार र स्वर्गमा पनि तपाईं अटाउनुहुन्‍न भने — मैले निर्माण गरेको यो मन्‍दिरमा त झन् कति साँगुरो हुन्‍छ होला ?

Yet please⟡ respect this prayer of your servant and his request , Yahweh my God ; listen to the cry and prayer that your servant prays before you .
तापनि हे परमप्रभु मेरा परमेश्‍वर , आफ्‍नो सेवकको यो प्रार्थना र पुकारालाई कदर गर्नुहोस् । तपाईंका सेवकले तपाईंको सामु गर्ने रोदन र प्रार्थना सुन्‍नुहोस् ।

May your eyes be open toward this temple day and night , the place where you promised to put your name . May you listen to the prayer your servant prays toward this place .
यस मन्‍दिर , अर्थात् , तपाईंले आफ्नो नाम राख्‍ने प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको यस ठाउँमा तपाईंका आँखा दिनरात खुला रहोस् । तपाईंको सेवकले यस ठाउँतिर फर्केर गरेको प्रार्थना तपाईंले सुन्‍नुहोस् ।

So listen to the requests of your servant and of your people Israel when we pray toward this place . Yes , listen from the place where you live⟡ , from the heavens ; and when you listen , forgive .
यसैले आफ्ना सेवक र तपाईंका मानिस इस्राएलले यो ठाउँतिर फर्केर प्रार्थना गर्दा ती बिन्‍तीहरू सुन्‍नुहोस् । हो , त्‍यो ठाउँबाट , तपाईं बस्‍नुहुने स्‍वर्गबाट सुन्‍नुहोस् । अनि तपाईंले सुन्‍नुहुँदा क्षमा गर्नुहोस् ।

If a man sins against his neighbor and is required to swear an oath , and if he comes and swears an oath before your altar in this house ,
कुनै मानिसले आफ्‍नो छिमेकीको विरुद्धमा पाप गर्छ र शपथ खान पर्‍यो भने , र त्‍यो शपथ यस मन्‍दिरभित्र तपाईंका वेदीको सामुन्‍ने खान्‍छ भने ,

listen from the heavens and act . Judge your servants , condemning the guilty and bringing what he has done upon his own head . Declare the innocent not guilty and give to him according to his righteousness .
स्‍वर्गबाट सुन्‍नुहोस् र काम गर्नुहोस् । दोषी मानिसलाई दोषी ठहर्‍याएर र त्‍यसले गरेको कामको प्रतिफल त्‍यसलाई नै दिएर आफ्‍ना सेवकहरूका बीचमा न्‍याय गर्नुहोस् । निर्दोषलाई दोषी नठहराउनुहोस् र त्‍यसको धार्मिकताबमोजिम त्यसलाई प्रतिफल दिनुहोस् ।

When your people Israel are defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you , if they turn back to you , confess your name , pray , and request forgiveness before you in this temple —
जब तपाईंका मानिस इस्राएलले तपाईंको विरुद्धमा पाप गरेका कारणले तिनीहरू आफ्‍ना शत्रुहरूद्वारा पराजित हुन्‍छन् , अनि तिनीहरूले तपाईंको नाउँ लिंदै यस मन्‍दिरमा तपाईंलाई प्रार्थना र नम्र - निवेदन गर्दै तपाईंतिर फर्कन्‍छन् भने —

then please⟡ listen from the heavens and forgive the sin of your people Israel ; bring them back to the land that you gave to them and to their ancestors .
तब तपाईंले स्‍वर्गबाट तिनीहरूको प्रार्थना सुन्‍नुहोस् , र आफ्‍ना मानिस इस्राएलको पाप क्षमा गर्नुहोस् । तिनीहरू र तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई तपाईंले दिनुभएको देशमा तिनीहरूलाई फर्काएर ल्‍याउनुहोस् ।

When the skies are shut up and there is no rain because the people have sinned against you — if they pray toward this place , confess your name , and turn from their sin when you have afflicted them —
जब तपाईंका मानिसले तपाईंको विरुद्धमा पाप गरेको कारणले आकाश बन्‍द भएर पानी परेको छैन — अनि तिनीहरूले यस ठाउँतर्फ फर्केर तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई दु:ख दिनुभएको कारणले तपाईंको नाउँ स्‍वीकार गर्छन् र आफ्‍ना पाप त्‍यागेर यस मन्दिरमा तपाईंको अगाडि प्रार्थना गर्छन् भने —

then listen in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants and of your people Israel , when you direct them to the good way in which they should walk . Send rain on your land , which you have given to your people as an inheritance .
तब तपाईंले तिनीहरू हिंड्‍नुपर्ने असल मार्गमा तिनीहरूलाई डोर्‍याउनुहुँदा , स्‍वर्गमा सुन्‍नुहोस् , र आफ्‍ना सेवकहरू र आफ्‍ना मानिस इस्राएलको पाप क्षमा गर्नुहोस् । तपाईंका मानिसहरूलाई तपईंले उत्तराधिकारको रूपमा दिनुभएको देशमा झरी पठाउनुहोस् ।

Suppose there is famine in the land , or suppose that there is disease , blight or mildew , locusts or caterpillars ; or suppose that its enemies attack the city gates in their land , or that there is any plague or sickness —
देशमा अनिकाल परेको छ वा माहामारी फैलेको छ , वा लाही वा ढुसी लाग्‍छ , कि सलह र फटेङ्‌ग्राहरू आउँछन् भने , वा शत्रुहरूले तिनीहरूका सहरको मुल ढोकाहरूमा आक्रमण गर्छन् वा कनै पनि किसिमको विपति वा रोग फैलेको छ भने —

Then listen from heaven , the place where you live⟡ ; forgive , and reward every person for all his ways ; you know his heart , because you and you only know the hearts of human beings .
तब तपाईं बस्‍नुहुने स्‍वर्गबाट सुन्‍नुहोस् । क्षमा गर्नुहोस् र हरेक व्यक्तिलाई उसका सबै चाल अनुसार प्रतिफल दिनुहोस् । तपाईंलाई त्यसको हृदय थाहा हुन्‍छ , किनभने तपाईंले मात्र मानिसजातिका हृदयहरू जान्‍नुहुन्छ ।

Do this so that they may fear you , so that they may walk in your ways all the days that they live⟡ on the land that you gave to our ancestors .

then please listen from heaven , the place where you live⟡ , and do all that the foreigner asks of you , so that all the people of the earth may know your name and fear you , as do your own people Israel , and that they might know that this house I have built is called by your name .
तब कृपया तपाईं बस्‍नुहुने स्‍वर्गबाट सुन्‍नुहोस् र त्‍यो विदेशीले मागेका सबै कुरा गरिदिनुहोस् , ताकि तपाईंको मानिस इस्राएलले गरेझैं पृथ्‍वीका सबै मानिसले तपाईंको नाउँलाई जानून् र तपाईंको भय मानून् , र मैले बनाएको यस मन्‍दिर तपाईंकै नाउँले बोलाइन्छ भनी तिनीहरूले जानून् ।

जब तपाईंले पठाउनुभएको ठाउँमा तपाईंका मानिसहरू आफ्‍ना कुनै शत्रुहरूसँग लडाइँ गर्न जान्‍छन् र तपाईंले चुन्‍नुभएको यस सहर र मैले तपाईंका नाउँको निम्‍ति बनाएको यस मन्‍दिरतिर फर्केर तिनीहरूले प्रार्थना गर्छन् ।

Then listen from the heavens to their prayer , their request , and help their cause .
तब तपाईंले तिनीहरूको प्रार्थना र बिन्‍ती स्‍वर्गबाट सुन्‍नुहोस् , र तिनीहरूलाई मदत गरिदिनुहोस् ।

Suppose they sin against you — since there is no one who does not sin — and suppose that you are angry with them and hand them over to the enemy , so that the enemy carries them away and takes them as captives to their land , whether distant or near .
जब तिनीहरूले तपाईंको विरुद्धमा पाप गर्छन् — किनकि पाप नगर्ने एक जना पनि छैन — र तिनीहरूसँग तपाईं रिसाउनुहुन्‍छ र तिनीहरूलाई कुनै शत्रुको हातमा सुम्‍पिनुहुन्‍छ , ताकि शत्रुहरूले तिनीहरूलाई लान्‍छन् र तिनीहरूलाई आफ्‍नो देशमा , टाढा वा नजिक कैद गरेर लान्‍छन् ।

Then suppose they realize they are in the land where they have been exiled , and suppose that they repent and seek favor from you in the land of their captivity . Suppose that they say , ' We have acted perversely and sinned . We have behaved wickedly . '
तब तिनीहरू कैदमा परेको देशमा तिनीहरूले त्‍यो कुरा महसुस गर्छन् र तिनीहरूले पश्‍चात्ताप गर्छन् र आफ्‍नो कैदको देशमा तपाईंको कृपाको खोजी गर्छन् । तिनीहरूले यसो भन्‍छन् , ‘ हामीले भ्रष्‍ट किसिमले काम गर्‍यौं र पाप गर्‍यौं । हामीले दुष्‍ट किसिमले व्‍यवहार गर्‍यौं । ’

Suppose that they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity , where they took them as captives , and suppose that they pray toward their land , which you gave to their ancestors , and toward the city that you chose , and toward the house that I have built for your name .
जब तिनीहरूलाई उनीहरूले कैद गरेर लगेको देशमा तिनीहरूले आफ्‍ना सारा हृदय र आफ्‍ना सारा प्राणले तपाईंतिर फर्किन्‍छन् र तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई तपाईंले दिनुभएको देशतिर र तपाईंले चुन्‍नुभएको यो सहरतिर र तपाईंका नाउँको निम्‍ति मैले बनाएको यस मन्‍दिरतिर फर्केर तिनीहरूले तपाईंमा प्रार्थना गर्छन् ।

Then listen from the heavens , the place where you live⟡ , to their prayer and to their requests , and help their cause . Forgive your people , who have sinned against you .
तब तपाईं बस्‍नुहुने स्‍वर्गबाट तिनीहरूको प्रार्थना र तिनीहरूका बिन्‍ती सुन्‍नुहोस् , र तिनीहरूलाई मदत गरिदिनुहोस् । तपाईंको विरुद्धमा पाप गरेका तपाईंका मानिसलाई क्षमा गरिदिनुहोस् ।
