Jotham was twenty - five years old when he began to reign ; he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem . His mother 's name was Jerushah ; she was the daughter of Zadok .
योताम राजगद्दी आरोहण गर्दा पच्‍चिस वर्षका थिए ; तिनले यरूशलेममा सोह्र वर्ष राज्‍य गरे । तिनकी आमाको यरूशा थियो ; तिनी नाउँ सादोककी छोरी थिइन् ।

हरेक कुरामा आफ्ना पिता उज्‍जियाहको उदाहरणको अनुसरण गरेर तिनले परमप्रभुको दृष्‍टिमा जे असल थियो सो गरे । परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरभित्र प्रवेश गर्नबाट तिनी अलग बसे । तर मानिसहरू भने अझै पनि आफ्‍ना दुष्‍ट चालमा लागिरहेका थिए ।

तिनले परमप्रभुका मन्‍दिरको माथिल्‍लो ढोकाको र्निर्माण गरे , र ओपेल डाँडामा तिनले धेरै निर्माण गरे ।

अम्‍मोनका मानिसहरूका राजासँग पनि तिनले युद्ध गरे र उनलाई परास्‍त गरे । त्‍यसै वर्ष अम्‍मोनका मानिसहरूले तिनलाई साढे तिन टन चाँदी , पच्‍चिस हजार मुरी गहूँ र पच्‍चिस हजार मुरी जौ दिए । अम्‍मोनका मानिसहरूले दोस्रो र तेस्रो वर्षमा पनि त्‍यसरी नै तिनलाई दिए ।

So Jotham became powerful because he walked firmly before Yahweh his God .
यसरी परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना परमेश्‍वरको सामुन्‍ने दृढ भएर हिंडेका हुनाले योताम शक्तिशाली भए ।
