All the people of Judah took Uzziah , who was sixteen years old , and made him king in place of his father Amaziah .
यहूदाका सबै मानिसले सोह्र वर्ष उमेर पुगेका उज्‍जियाहलाई लिए र तिनका पिता अमस्‍याहको ठाउँमा तिनलाई राजा बनाए ।

उज्‍जियाहले राज्य गर्न सुरु गर्दा तिनी सोह्र वर्षका थिए । तिनले यरूशलेममा बाउन्‍न वर्ष राज्‍य गरे । तिनकी आमाको नाउँ यकोल्‍याह थियो । तिनी यरूशलेमकी थिइन् ।

तिनलाई परमेश्‍वरको आदरको गर्नुपर्छ भनेर शिक्षा दिने जकरियाको समयभरि तिनले परमेश्‍वरको अगुवाइ खोज्‍नमा आफैलाई लगाए । जबसम्म तिनले परमप्रभुको खोजी गरे , तबसम्‍म परमेश्‍वरले तिनको फलिफाप गराइदिनुभयो ।

Uzziah went out and fought⟡ against the Philistines . He broke down the city walls of Gath , Jabneh , and Ashdod ; he built cities in the country of Ashdod and among the Philistines .
उज्‍जियाह बाहिर गए र पलिश्‍तीहरूसँग युद्ध गरे । तिनले गात , यब्‍ने र अश्‍दोदका पर्खालहरू भत्‍काइदिए । तिनले अश्‍दोदको गाउँमा र पलिश्‍तीहरूका बिचमा सहरहरू बनाए ।

साथै उज्‍जियाहले यरूशलेममा कुने - ढोका , बेसी ढोका र पर्खालका कुनाको घुम्‍तीमा पनि धरहराहरू बनाए र तिनलाई सुरक्षित पारे ।

तिनले उजाड-स्‍थानमा अरू रक्षक धरहराहरू बनाए , र पहाड र बेसी दुवैमा तिनका गाईबस्‍तुका धेरै बथान भएको कारणले तिनले धेरै वटा कूवाहरू खने । पहाडी इलाकामा र फलवन्त खेतहरूमा तिनका खेती गर्ने किसानहरू र दाखबारी हेर्नेहरू पनि थिए , किनकि तिनले खेतीपाती मन पराउँथे ।

In addition , Uzziah had an army of fighting men who went out to war in groups which were organized by their number that were counted by Jeiel⟡ , the scribe , and Maaseiah , the officer , under the authority of Hananiah , one of the king 's commanders .
यसबाहेक उज्‍जियाहको युद्ध गर्ने एउटा फौज पनि थियो , जो फजका मुख्‍य सचिव यहीएल र अधिकृत मासेयाहले गणना गरेका दल - दल गरी राजाका कमाण्‍डरमध्‍ये एक जना हनन्‍याहको अधीनमा युद्धमा जान्थे ।

धरहरा र बुर्जाहरूमा प्रयोग गर्न सिपालु कारीगरहरूले बनाएका काँडहरू र ठुला ढुङ्गा हान्‍ने यन्‍त्रहरू तिनले यरूशलेममा तयार पारे । तिनको ख्‍याति टाढाका देशसम्‍म पुग्‍यो , किनकि तिनलाई ठुलो सहायता मिलेको थयो र यसैले तिनी धेरै शक्तिशाली भए ।

But when Uzziah had become powerful , his heart was lifted up so that he acted corruptly ; he trespassed against Yahweh , his God , for he went into the house of Yahweh to burn incense on the altar of incense .
तर जब उज्‍जियाह शक्तिशाली भए , तब तिनको हृदय अहंकारी भयो ताकि तिनले भ्रष्‍ट किसिमले काम गरे । तिनले परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना परमेश्‍वरको विरुद्धमा पाप गरे , किनकि धूप - वेदीमा धूप बाल्‍नलाई तिनी परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरमा पसे ।

पुजारी अजर्याह र परमप्रभुका अरू असी जना साहसी पुजारीहरू राजा उज्‍जियाहको पछिपछि भित्र गए ।

तिनीहरूले उज्‍जियाहको विरोध गरे र तिनलाई भने , “ ए उज्‍जियाह , परमप्रभुको निम्‍ति धूप बाल्‍ने काम तपाईंको होइन , तर हारूनको वंशका पुजारीहरूको हो , जसलाई धूप बाल्‍नलाई अभिषेक गरिएको छ । पवित्रस्‍थानबाट बाहिर जानुहोस् , किनकि तपाईंले विश्‍वासघात गर्नुभएको छ र परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरबाट तपाईंले केही कदर पाउनुहुनेछैन । ”

Then Uzziah became angry . He was holding a censer in his hand to burn incense . While he was angry with the priests , leprosy broke out on his forehead before the priests in the house of Yahweh , beside the altar of incense .
तब उज्‍जियाह रिसाए । तिनले धूप बाल्‍नलाई हातमा धुपौरो समातेका थिए । तिनी पुजारीहरूसँग रिसाएको बेलामा , ती पुजारीहरूकै सामुन्‍ने परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरभित्र धूप - वेदीको छेउमा तिनको निधारमा कुष्‍ठरोग निस्‍क्‍यो ।

Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him , and , behold , he had become leprous on his forehead . They quickly drove him out of there . Indeed , he hurried to go out , because Yahweh had struck him .
प्रधान पुजारी अजर्याह र अरू पुजारीहरूले तिनलाई हेर्दाहेर्दै तिनको निधारमा कुष्‍ठरोग निस्‍केको तिनीहरूले देखे । तिनीहरूले तिनलाई हतार - हतार त्‍यहाँबाट बाहिर निकाले । वास्तवमा तिनी आफै बाहिर निस्‍कनलाई हतार गरे , किनभने परमप्रभुले तिनलाई प्रहार गर्नुभएको थियो ।

Uzziah , the king , was a leper to the day of his death and lived in a separate house since he was a leper , for he was cut off from the house of Yahweh . Jotham , his son , was over the king 's house and ruled the people of the land .
राजा उज्‍जियाह आफ्‍नो मर्ने दिनसम्‍मै कुष्‍ठरोगी भए । तिनी कुष्‍ठरोगी भएको हुनाले अलग्‍गै घरमा बसे , किनकि तिनलाई परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरबाट बहिष्‍कार गरिएको थियो । तिनका छोरा योतामले राजाको महलको रेखदेख गरे , र देशका मानिसहरूमाथि शासन गरे ।

यसरी उज्‍जियाह आफ्‍ना पुर्खाहरूसित सुते । तिनीहरूले राजाहरूका चिहानको जमिनमा पुर्खाहरूसित गाडे , किनकि तिनीहरूले भने , “ तिनी एक जना कुष्‍ठरोगी हुन् । ” अनि तिनीपछि तिनका छोरा योताम तिनको ठाउँमा राजा भए ।
