आज मैले तिमीहरूलाई दिने सबै आज्ञा मान्‍नू ताकि तिमीहरू बाँच्न सक र वृद्धि हुन सक अनि परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूका पिता - पुर्खाहरूसित प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको देशमा गएर त्यसलाई अधिकार गर्न सक ।

तिमीहरूलाई विनम्र पार्न र तिमीहरूले उहाँका आज्ञाहरू मान्छौ कि मान्दैनौ भनेर तिमीहरूका ह्रदयमा भएको कुरा जाँच गर्न परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरले यी चालिस वर्षसम्म तिनीहरूलाई उजाड - स्थानमा डोर्‍याउनुभएका उहाँका सबै मार्गलाई सम्झनू ।

उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई विनम्र तुल्याउनुभयो ; भोकले पीडित तुल्याउनुभयो र मन्‍न खुवाउनुभयो जसलाई तिमीहरूले चिनेका थिएनौ न त तिमीहरूका पिता - पुर्खाहरले चिनेका थिए । मानिस रोटीले मात्र नभई परमप्रभुको मुखबाट निस्केको हरेक कुराले बाँच्दछ भनी तिमीहरूलाई बुझाउन उहाँले यसो गर्नुभयो ।

It will happen that , if you will forget Yahweh your God and walk after other gods , worship them , and reverence them , I testify against you today that you will surely perish .
तिमीहरूले परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरलाई बिर्सी अन्य देवी - देवताहरूको पछि लागेर तिनीहरूको पुजा गर्‍यौ र तिनीहरूको आराधना गर्‍यौ भने तिमीहरू निश्‍चय नै मर्ने छौ भनी म आज तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा गवाही दिन्छु ।
