You must not watch your fellow Israelite 's ox or his sheep go astray and hide yourself from them ; you must surely bring them back to him .
आफ्नो इस्राएली छिमेकीको गोरु वा भेडा तर्केर गएको देख्दा त्यसलाई नदेखेको जस्तो नगर्नू । तिमीले त्यसलाई फर्काएर त्यसकहाँ ल्याइदिनू ।

दुवै जनालाई सहरको मूल ढोकामा ल्याई ढुङ्गाले हानेर मार्नू । सहरभित्र भएर पनि केटी नचिच्‍च्याएकीले त्यसलाई ढुङ्गाले हानेर मार्नू । आफ्नो छिमेकीकी पत्‍नीको सतीत्व नष्‍ट गरेकोले पुरुषलाई ढुङ्गाले हानेर मार्नू । यसरी तिमीहरूले तिमीहरूका बिचबाट दुष्‍टता हटाउनू ।

तर केटीलाई चाहिँ केही नगर्नू । केटीले मृत्युदण्ड पाउने कुनै काम गरेकी छैन । यो कुनै मानिसले आफ्नो छिमेकीलाई आक्रमण गरी मारेको जस्तै सवाल हो ।

किनकि पुरुषले स्‍त्रीलाई खेतमा फेला पारेको थियो र मगनी भएकी केटी चिच्‍च्याइकी थिई , तर त्यसलाई बचाउन त्यहाँ कोही थिएन ।
