परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्‍नुभयो , " पहिलेका जस्तै ढुङ्गाका दुईवटा पाटी काटेर ले । तैँले फुटाएका पहिलेका पाटीहरूमा मैले लेखेका वचनहरू म यी शिला - पाटीहरूमा लेख्‍नेछु ।

उहाँले हजारौँ पुस्तासम्म आफ्नो करार राख्‍नुहुन्छ , अधर्म , अपराध र पापको क्षमा दिनुहुन्छ । तर उहाँले दोषीलाई कुनै किसिमले छाड्नुहुनेछैन । उहाँले पिता - पुर्खाहरूका दण्ड तिनीहरूका छोराछोरीहरू र नातिनातिनाहरू अनि तेस्रो र चौथो पुस्तासम्म दिनुहुन्छ । "

Yahweh said , " See , I am about to make a covenant . Before all your people , I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth nor in any nation . All the people among you will see my deeds , for it is a fearful thing that I am doing with you .
परमप्रभुले भन्‍नुभयो , " हेर् , मैले करार बाँध्‍न लागेको छु । तेरा सबै मानिसका सामु म यस्ता आश्‍चर्यका कामहरू गर्नेछु जुन सारा पृथ्वीमा कुनै पनि जातिमा गरिएको छैन । तिमीहरूका बिचमा भएका सबै मानिसले मेरा कार्यहरू देख्‍नेछन् किनकि तँसित मैले गर्न खोजिरहेको कुरो डरलाग्दो छ ।

गधाको पहिलो जन्मेको बछेडोलाई थुमा दिएर छुटाउनू , तर त्यसलाई छुटाएनौ भने त्यसको घाँटी भाँचिदिनू । तिमीहरूका सबै जेठा छोराहरूलाई केही दिएर छुटाउनू । कोही पनि मेरो सामु रित्तो हात नआओस् ।

You may work for six days , but on the seventh day you must rest . Even at plowing time and in harvest , you must rest .
तिमीहरूले छ दिनसम्म काम गर्न सक्छौ , तर सातौँ दिनमा चाहिँ विश्राम गर्नू । हलो जोत्‍ने र कटनी गर्ने समयमा पनि विश्राम गर्नू ।

Moses was there with Yahweh for forty days and nights ; he did not eat any food nor drink any water . He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant , the Ten Commandments .
मोशा परमप्रभुसित त्यहाँ चालिस दिन र चालिस रातसम्म बसे । तिनले न कुनै खाना खाए न पानी पिए । तिनले करारका वचनहरू अर्थात् दस आज्ञा शिला - पाटीहरूमा लेखे ।

When Aaron and the Israelites saw Moses , the skin of his face was shining , and they were afraid to come near him .

When the Israelites saw Moses ' face shining , he would put the veil over his face again until he went back in to speak with Yahweh .
इस्राएलीहरूले मोशाको अनुहार चम्किरहेको देख्दा तिनी परमप्रभुसित बोल्नलाई भित्र नगएसम्म तिनले फेरि आफ्नो अनुहारमा घुम्टो हाल्थे ।
