" Hear the word that Yahweh is announcing to you , house of Israel .
हे इस्राएलका घराना हो , परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूलाई घोषणा गरिरहनुभएको वचन सुन ।

Yahweh says this , ' Do not learn the ways of the nations , and do not be dismayed by the signs in the heavens , for the nations are dismayed by these .
परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ , " जाति - जातिहरूका चाल नसिक , र आकाशका चिन्हहरूदेखि भयभीत नहोओ किनकि जातिहरू यसबाट भयभीत हुन्छन् ।

For the religious customs of these people are worthless . They cut down a tree in the forest , and the craftsman carves the wood .
किनकि यी मानिसहरूका धार्मिक प्रचलनहरू बेकम्मा छन् । तिनीहरू जङ्गलमा भएको एउटा रुख काट्छन् , र कारीगरले काठको मूर्ति बनाउँछ ।

Then they decorate it with silver and gold . They strengthen it with hammer and nails so it will not fall⟡ over .
त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले सुन र चाँदीले त्‍यसलाई सजाउँछन् । त्‍यो नढलोस् भनेर तिनीहरूले त्‍यसलाई घन र किल्लाले ठोक्दछन् ।

What they make with their hands is like scarecrows in a cucumber field , because they , too , can say nothing , and they have to be carried because they can not walk . Do not fear them , for they can not bring about evil , nor are they able to do anything good . ' "
तिनीहरूले हातले बनाएको कुरो काँक्रोको बारीमा राखिने पुतलाजस्तो हो , किनकि तिनीहरूले पनि केही भन्‍न सक्दैनन् , र तिनीहरू हिंड्न नसक्‍ने भएका हुनाले तिनलाई बोक्‍नुपर्छ । तिनीहरूदेखि नडराओ , किनकि तिनीहरूले खराबी ल्याउन सक्दैनन् , न त तिनीहरूले कुनै भलाइ नै गर्न सक्छन् । "

There is no one like you , Yahweh . You are great , and your name is great in power .
हे परमप्रभु , तपाईंजस्तो कोही पनि छैन । तपाईं महान् हुनुहुन्छ , र तपाईंको नाउँ शक्तिमा महान् छ ।

Who does not fear you , king of the nations ? For this⟡ is what you deserve , for there is no one like you among all the wise men of the nations or all their royal kingdoms .
हे जातिहरूका महाराजा , तपाईंदेखि को डराउँदैन र ? तपाईं यसैको लागि योग्य हुनुहुन्छ , किनकि जातिहरूका सबै बुद्धिमान् मानिसहरू र तिनीहरूका सबै राज्यहरूका बिचमा तपाईंजस्तो कोही पनि छैन ।

They are all the same , they are brutish and stupid , disciples of idols that are nothing but wood .
तिनीहरू सबै उस्तै छन् । तिनीहरू बुद्धिहीन र मूर्ख छन् । तिनीहरू मूर्तीका चेलाहरू हुन् जुन काठबाहेक केही पनि होइन ।

They bring hammered silver from Tarshish , and gold from Uphaz made by artificers , the hands of refiners . Their clothes are blue and purple cloth . Their skillful men made all of these things .
तर्शीशबाट पिटिएका चाँदी अनि उपज देशबाट सुनारहरू , शुद्ध पार्नेका हातद्वारा बनाइएका सुन तिनीहरूले ल्याउँछन् , तिनीहरूका वस्‍त्रहरू निलो र बैजनी कपडा हुन् । तिनीहरूका सिपालु मानिसहरूले यी सबै कुरा बनाए ।

But Yahweh is the true God . He is the living God and eternal king . The earth quakes at his anger , and the nations can not endure his anger .
तर परमप्रभु नै साँचो परमेश्‍वर हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँ नै जीवित परमेश्‍वर र अनन्तका राजा हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँको रिसमा पृथ्वी हल्लिन्छ , र जातिहरूले उहाँको रिस सहन सक्दैनन् ।

You will speak to them like this , " The gods that did not make the heavens and earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens . "
तपाईं तिनीहरूसित यसरी बोल्नुहुन्छ , " स्वर्ग र पृथ्वी नबनाउने देवताहरू पृथ्वीबाट र यी आकाशको तलबाट नष्‍ट हुनेछन् ।

But it was he who made the earth by his power , and he established the world by his wisdom , and by his understanding he stretched out the heavens .
तर उहाँले पृथ्वीलाई आफ्नो शक्तिले बनाउनुभयो , र उहाँले आफ्नो बुद्धिले संसार स्थापित गर्नुभयो , र आफ्नो समझशक्तिले आकाशलाई फैलाउनुभयो ।

His voice makes the roar of waters in the heavens , and he brings up the mists from the ends of the earth . He makes lightning for the rain and sends out wind from his storehouse .
उहाँको आवाजले आकाशमा पानीको गर्जन ल्याउँछ , र उहाँले पृथ्वीको कुनाबाट तुसारो ल्याउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले वर्षाको लागि चट्याङ पार्नुहुन्छ , र आफ्नो भण्डारबाट बतास पठाउनुहुन्छ ।

Every man has become ignorant , without knowledge . Every metalworker is put to shame by his idols . For his cast images are frauds ; there is no life in them .
हरेक मानिस ज्ञानविना अज्ञानी भएको छ । धातुको काम गर्ने हरेक आफ्ना मूर्तिहरूबाट नै लाजमा परेको छ । किनकि त्यसले बनाएका मूर्तिहरू झूटा हुन् । तिनमा जीवन छैन ।

तर परमेश्‍वर जो याकूबको हिस्सा हुनुहुन्छ , उहाँ तीजस्ता छैनन् , किनकि उहाँ त सबै कुराका निर्माणकर्ता हुनुहुन्छ । इस्राएल उहाँको उत्तराधिकारको कुल हो । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु उहाँको नाउँ हो ।

Gather your bundle and leave the land , you people who have been living under the siege .
ए घेराबन्दीमा बाँचेका मानिसहरू हो , आ-आफ्नो पोकोपन्तरो जम्मा गर र देश छोड ।

किनकि परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ , " हेर् , यस बेला यो देशका बासिन्दाहरूलाई मैले बाहिर फाल्‍न लागेको छु । म तिनीहरूमाथि सङ्कष्‍ट ल्याउनेछु , र तिनीहरूले यस्तै भएको भेट्टाउनेछन् । "

Woe to me ! Because of my broken bones , my wound is infected . So I said , " Surely this is agony , but I must bear it . "
मलाई धिक्‍कार छ ! मेरा हड्‍डी भाँचिएका हुनाले मेरो चोट सङ्क्रमित भएको छ । त्यसैले मैले भनें , " निश्‍चय नै यो वेदना हो , तर मैले त्‍यो सहनैपर्छ । "

My tent is devastated , and all of my tent cords are cut in two . They have taken my children away from me , so they no longer exist . There is no longer anyone to spread out my tent or to raise up my tent curtains .
मेरो पाल तहस - नहस पारिएको छ , र मेरा पालका सबै डोरी दुई टुक्रा पारेर काटिएका छन् । तिनीहरूले मेरा बालबालिकालाई मबाट टाढा लगेका छन् , त्‍यसैले तिनीहरू अब छैनन् । मेरो पाल टाँग्‍न वा मेरा पर्दाहरू उठाउन त्‍यहाँ अब फेरि कोही छैन ।

For the shepherds are stupid and they do not seek Yahweh ; so they have not prospered , and all their flock has been scattered .
किनकि गोठालाहरू मूर्ख छन् , र तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको खोजी गर्दैनन् । त्यसैले तिनीहरूको उन्‍नति भएको छैन , र तिनीहरूका सबै बगाल तितर - बितर भएका छन् ।

The report of news has arrived , " See ! It is coming , a great earthquake is coming from the land of the north To make the cities of Judah into ruins , hideouts for jackals . "
समाचारको खबर आएको छ , " हेर , यहूदाका सहरहरूलाई उजाड पारेर स्यालहरूका लुक्‍ने ठाउँ बनाउनलाई उत्तरको देशबाट एउटा ठुलो भूकम्प आउँदैछ । "

तपाईंले नचिन्‍ने जातिहरू र तपाईंको नाउँ नपुकार्ने परिवारहरूमाथि तपाईंको क्रोध खन्याउनुहोस् । किनकि तिनीहरूले याकूबलाई निलेका छन् र भष्‍म पारेका छन् यसरी उसलाई पूर्ण रूपमा नास पारेका र उसको बासस्थानलाई उजाड पारेका छन् ।
