The word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh when King Zedekiah sent Pashhur son of Malkijah and Zephaniah son of Maaseiah the priest to him , and they said ,
परमप्रभुको यो वचन यर्मियाकहाँ त्‍यति बेला आयो , जति बेला सिदकियाह राजाले मल्कियाहका छोरा पशहूर र मासेयाहका छोरा पुजारी सपन्याहलाई तिनीकहाँ पठाए , र तिनीहरूले भने ,

" Seek advice from Yahweh on our behalf , for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is making war on us . Perhaps Yahweh will do miracles for us , as in times past , and will make him withdraw from us . "
" हाम्रो पक्षमा परमप्रभुबाट सल्लाह खोज , किनकि बेबिलोनका राजा नबूकदनेसरले हामीमाथि युद्ध गर्देछन् । सायद विगतको समयमा जस्तै परमप्रभुले हाम्रो लागि आश्‍चर्यकर्म गर्नुहुनेछ र उसलाई हामीबाट फिर्ता जाने बनाउनुहुनेछ । "

So Jeremiah said to them , " This⟡ is what you must say to Zedekiah ,
त्यसैले यर्मियाले तिनीहरूलाई भने , " तिमीहरूले सिदकियाहलाई यसो भन्‍नुपर्छ ,

' Yahweh , God of Israel , says this⟡ : See , I am about to turn back the instruments of war that are in your hand , with which you are fighting against the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans who are closing you in from outside the walls ! For I will gather them in the middle of this city .
' परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वर यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छः हेर् , तेरो हातमा लडाइँका जुन हतियारहरू छन् , जसद्वारा तैंले बेबिलोनका राजा र तँलाई पर्खालबाहिर घेराबन्दी गर्ने कल्दीहरूको विरुद्धमा लड्दैछस् , ती हतियारहरू म तेरै विरुद्धमा चलाउन लागेकोछु । किनकि म तिनलाई यस सहरको बिचमा जम्मा गर्नेछु ।

Then I myself will fight⟡ against you with a raised hand and a strong arm , and with wrath , fury , and great anger .
तब पसारिएको हात , शक्तिशाली पाखुरा , क्रोध , बदला र भयङ्कर रिसले म आफै तेरो विरुद्धमा लड्नेछु ।

For I will attack the inhabitants of this city , both man and beast . They will die in a severe plague .
किनकि म यस सहरका बासिन्दाहरू , मानिस जनावरहरू दुवैलाई आक्रमण गर्नेछु । भयङ्‍कर रुढीले तिनीहरू मर्नेछन् ।

Then to this people you must say , ' Yahweh says this : See , I am about to place before you the way of life and the way of death .
" यी मानिसलाई तैंले यसो भन्‍नुपर्छ , ' परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छः हेर , मैले तिमीहरूका सामु जीवनको मार्ग र मृत्यको मार्ग प्रस्‍तुत गर्न लागेको छु ।

Anyone staying in this city will die by the sword , famine , and plague ; but anyone going out and falling on his knees before the Chaldeans who have closed in against you will live⟡ . He will escape with his life .
यस सहरमा बस्‍ने कुनै पनि व्‍यक्ति तरवार , अनिकाल र विपत्तिले मर्नेछ , तर यहाँबाट बाहिर निस्‍केर जाने र तिमीहरूका विरुद्धमा घेराबन्दी गर्ने कल्दीहरूका सामु आफ्‍ना घुँडा टेक्‍ने कुनै पनि व्‍यक्ति बाँच्नेछ । उसले आफ्नो प्राण बचाउनेछ ।

For I have set my face against this city in order to bring disaster and not to bring good — this is Yahweh 's declaration . It has been given into the hand of the king of Babylon and he will burn it . '
किनकि भलाइ होइन र विपत्ति ल्याउनलाई मैले यस सहरको विरुद्धमा आफ्‍नो अनुहार फर्काएको छु , यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । यसलाई बेबिलोनका राजाको हातमा दिइएको छ , र उसले यसमा आगो लगाउनेछ । '

Concerning the house of the king of Judah , listen to the word of Yahweh .
" यहूदाका राजाको घरानाको विषयमा परमप्रभुको वचन सुन ।

House of David , Yahweh says , ' Bring about justice in the morning . Rescue the one who has been robbed by the hand of the oppressor , or my fury will go out like fire and burn , and there is no one who can quench it , because of your evil deeds .
ए दाऊदका घराना हो , परमप्रभु भन्‍नुहुन्छ , ' बिहान न्याय कायम गर । अत्याचार गर्नेको हातबाट लुटिएको व्‍यक्‍तिलाई बचाओ , नत्रता मेरो क्रोध आगोझैं निस्केर जानेछ र जलाउनेछ , र तिमीहरूका दुष्‍ट कामहरूका कारणले यसलाई निभाउन सक्‍ने त्‍यहाँ कोही छैन ।

See , inhabitant of the valley ! I am against you , rock of the plain — this is Yahweh 's declaration — I am against anyone who is saying , " Who will come down to attack us ? " or " Who will enter our houses ? "
ए बेँसीका बासिन्दा हो , मैदानका चट्टानमा बस्‍ने हो , म तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा छु , यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो — यसो भन्‍ने कुनै पनि व्‍यक्‍तिको विरुद्धमा म छु , ' हामीलाई आक्रमण गर्नलाई को ओर्लेर आउनेछ र ? ' वा ' हाम्रा घरहरूमा को पस्‍नेछ र ? '

I have assigned the fruit of your practices to come against you — this is Yahweh 's declaration — and I will light a fire in the thickets , and it will consume everything around it . ' "
तिमीहरूका विरुद्धमा आउनलाई मैले तिमीहरूका अभ्यासको फल तोकेको छु , यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो — र झाडीहरूमा म आगो सल्काउनेछु , र त्‍यसले आफ्नो वरिपरि भएका हरेक कुरालाई भस्म पार्नेछ । "
