Then all the army commanders and Johanan son of Kareah , Jezaniah son of Hoshaiah , and all the people from the least to the greatest approached Jeremiah the prophet .
तब सेनाका सबै कप्‍तान र कारेहका छोरा योहानान , होशयाहका छोरा येजन्याह अनि सानादेखि ठुलासम्म सबै मानिसले यर्मिया अगमवक्ताकहाँ आए ।

They said to him , " Let our pleas⟡ come before you . Pray for us to Yahweh your God for these people who remain since we are so few in number , as you see .
तिनीहरूले तिनलाई भने , " हाम्रो बिन्ती सुन्‍नुहोस् । परमप्रभु तपाईंका परमेश्‍वरलाई यी बाँकी रहेका मानिसहरूको पक्षमा बिन्ती चढाउनुहोस् , किनकि तपाईं देख्‍नुहुन्छ , हामी सङ्ख्यामा एकदम थोरै छौं ।

Ask Yahweh your God to tell us the way we should go and what we should do . "
हामीले जानुपर्ने बाटो हामीलाई देखाउन र हामीले के गर्नुपर्छ भनेर परमप्रभु तपाईंका परमेश्‍वरलाई सोध्‍नुहोस् । "

So Jeremiah the prophet said to them , " I have heard you . Look , I will pray to Yahweh your God as you have requested . Whatever Yahweh answers , I will tell you . I will keep nothing back from you . "
त्यसैले यर्मिया अगमवक्ताले तिनीहरूलाई भने , " मैले तिमीहरूको कुरा सुनेको छु । हेर , तिमीहरूले अनुरोध गरेझैं म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरलाई प्रार्थना चढाउनेछु । परमप्रभुले जे जवाफ दिनुहुन्छ , म तिमीहरूलाई बताउनेछु । म तिमीहरूबाट कुनै कुरो लुकाउनेछैनँ । "

They said to Jeremiah , " May Yahweh be a true and faithful witness against us , if we do not do everything that Yahweh your God tells us to do .
तिनीहरूले यर्मियालाई भने , " परमप्रभु तपाईंका परमेश्‍वरले हामीलाई भन्‍नुभएअनुसार हामीले गरेनौं भने , परमप्रभु नै हाम्रा विरुद्धमा साँचो र विश्‍वासयोग्य साक्षी होऊन् ।

असल होस् या खराब होस् , हामी परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरको कुरा मान्‍नेछौं , जसकहाँ हामी तपाईंलाई पठाउँदैछौं , जसको कारण हामीले परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरको कुरा मान्दा हाम्रो भलो होस् । "

At the end of ten days , the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah .
दस दिनको अन्त्यमा परमप्रभुको वचन यर्मियाकहाँ आयो ।

So Jeremiah called to Johanan son of Kareah and all the army commanders with him , and to all the people from the least to the greatest .

Then he said to them , " This⟡ is what Yahweh , the God of Israel — to whom you sent me so I might lay your pleas⟡ before him — says ,
तब तिनले उनीहरूलाई भने , " परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वर यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ , जसकहाँ तिमीहरूले मलाई तिमीहरूका बिन्ती राख्‍न पठायौ ,

' If you go back and live⟡ in this land , then I will build⟡ you and not tear you down ; I will plant you and not pull you up , for I will turn back the disaster that I have brought on you .
' तिमीहरू फर्केर जान्‍छौ र यस देशमा बस्‍छौ भने , म तिमीहरूलाई निर्माण गर्नेछु , भत्काउनेछैनँ । म तिमीहरूलाई रोप्नेछु , उखेल्नेछैनँ , किनकि मैले तिमीहरूमाथि ल्याएको विपत्ति म हटाउनेछु ।

Do not fear the king of Babylon , whom you are fearing . Do not fear him — this is Yahweh 's declaration — since I am with you to save you and rescue you from his hand .
बेबिलोनका राजा जसदेखि तिमीहरू डराउँदैछौ , अब त्यसदेखि नडराओ । उदेखि नडराओ , यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो , किनकि उसको हातबाट तिमीहरूको उद्धार गर्न र तिमीहरूलाई छुटकारा दिन म तिमीहरूसँगै छु ।

For I will give you mercy . I will have compassion on you , and I will bring you back to your land .
किनकि म तिमीहरूलाई कृपा देखाउनेछु । म तिमीहरूमाथि दया देखाउनेछु , र म तिमीहरूलाई फर्काएर तिमीहरूकै देशमा ल्याउनेछु ।

But suppose that you say , " We will not stay in this land " — if you do not listen to my voice , the voice of Yahweh your God .
तर तिमीहरूले यसो भन्‍छौ , ' हामी यस देशमा बस्‍नेछैनौं ' — अनि तिमीहरूले मेरो आवाज , परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको आवाज सुन्‍दैनौ ।

Suppose that you say , " No ! We will go to the land of Egypt , where we will not see any war , where we will not hear the sound of the trumpet , and we will not go hungry for food . We will live⟡ there . "
तिमीहरूले यसो भन्‍छौ , ' हामी मिश्रदेशमा जानेछौं , जहाँ हामीले फेरि युद्ध देख्‍नेछैनौं , जहाँ हामीले तुरहीको आवाज सुन्‍नेछैनौं , र हामी खानाको लागि भोकाउनेछैनौं । हामी त्‍यहाँ बस्‍नेछौं ' । ”

Now listen to this word of Yahweh , you remnant of Judah . Yahweh of hosts , God of Israel , says this , ' If you actually set out to go to Egypt , to go and live there ,
ए यहूदामा बाँकी रहेका मानिसहरू हो , परमप्रभुको यो वचन सुन । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वर यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ , ' तिमीहरूले मिश्रदेशमा नै जाने , त्‍यहाँ जाने र बस्‍ने पक्‍का गरिसकेका छौ भने ,

then the sword that you fear will overtake you there in the land of Egypt . The famine that you are worrying about will pursue you to Egypt , and you will die there .
तब जुन तरवारदेखि तिमीहरू डराउँछौ , त्यसले खेदेर तिमीहरूलाई मिश्रदेशमा भेट्टाउनेछ । तिमीहरू जुन अनिकालको विषयमा चिन्तित छौ , त्यसले नै तिमीहरूलाई मिश्रसम्म खेद्‍नेछ , र तिमीहरू त्यहीँ मर्नेछौ ।

So it will happen that all the men who set out to go to Egypt to live there will die by sword , famine , or plague . There will be no survivor of them , no one to escape the disaster that I will bring on them .
त्यसैले मिश्रमा गएर त्यहीँ बस्‍ने निधो गरेका सबै पुरुष तरवार , अनिकाल र विपत्तिले मर्नेछन् । तिनीहरूका बिचमा कोही पनि बाँच्नेछैन , मैले तिनीहरूमाथि ल्याउने विपत्तिबाट कोही पनि उम्कनेछैन ।

For Yahweh of hosts , God of Israel , says this⟡ : Just as my wrath and my fury were poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem , in the same way my fury will be poured out on you if you go to Egypt . You will become an object of cursing and a horror , an object for speaking curses , and something dishonorable , and you will not see this place again . ' "
किनकि सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वर यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छः जसरी मेरो रिस र क्रोध यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरूमाथि खन्याइएको थियो , तिमीहरू मिश्रमा गयौ भने त्‍यसरी नै मेरो क्रोध खन्याइनेछ । तिमीहरू सराप र त्रासको पात्र , सराप खाने पात्र र अपमानको कुरा बन्‍नेछौ , र फेरि तिमीहरूले यो देश देख्‍नेछैनौ । ”

Then Jeremiah said , " Yahweh has spoken concerning you — the remnant of Judah . Do not go to Egypt ! You certainly know that I have been a witness against you today .
तब यर्मियाले भने , " ए यहूदाका बाँकी रहेका मानिसहरू हो , तिमीहरूको विषयमा परमप्रभुले बोल्नुभएको छ । तिमीहरू मिश्रमा नजाओ । आज मैले तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा गवाही दिएको छु भनी तिमीहरूलाई पक्‍का थाहा छ ।

For you fatally deceived yourselves when you sent me to Yahweh your God and said , ' Pray to Yahweh our God for us . Everything that Yahweh our God says , tell us , and we will carry it out . '
तिमीहरूले मलाई परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना परमेश्‍वरकहाँ यसो भनेर पठाउँदा तिमीहरूले आफैलाई घातक रूपमा धोका दियौ , ' हाम्रा निम्ति परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरमा प्रार्थना गर्नुहोस् । परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरले बताउनुहुने हरेक कुरा हामीलाई बताउनुहोस् , र हामी त्यो पूरा गर्नेछौं । '

For I have reported to you today , but you have not listened to the voice of Yahweh your God or to anything about which he sent me to you .
