In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah , Sennacherib , king of Assyria , attacked all the fortified cities of Judah and captured them .
हिजकिया राजाको चौधौं वर्षमा अश्शूरका राजा सनहेरीबले यहूदाका किल्लाबन्दी गरिएका सबै सहरहरूमा आक्रमण गरे र ति कब्जा गरे ।

The chief commander said to them , " Tell Hezekiah that the great king , the king of Assyria , says , ' What is the source of your confidence ?
प्रमुख कमाण्‍डरले तिनीहरूलाई भने , " हिजकियालाई भन कि अश्शूरका राजा महाराजाले भन्छन् , ' तिम्रो भरोसाको स्रोत के हो ?

You speak only useless words , saying there is counsel and strength for war . Now in whom are you trusting ? Who has given you courage to rebel against me ?
युद्धको निम्ति सल्लाह र सामर्थ्य छ भनी तिमीले व्यार्थका शब्दहरू मात्र बोल्छौ । अहिले तिमीले कसलाई भरोसा गरिरहेका छौ ? मेरो विरुद्धमा विद्रोह गर्न तिमीलाई कसले आँट दिएको छ ?

Look , you are trusting in Egypt , that splintered reed that you use as a walking staff , but if a man leans on it , it will stick into his hand and pierce it . That is what Pharaoh king of Egypt is to anyone who trusts in him .
हेर , तिमीले मिश्रदेशमा भर पर्दैछौ , जुन फुटेको नर्कट हो , जसलाई तिमीले यसलाई हिंड्ने लट्ठीको रूपमा प्रयोग गर्छौ , तर एक जना मानिस यसमा ढल्किन्छ भने , त्यसको हातमा त्‍यसले घोच्‍नेछ र त्‍यसलाई छेड्नेछ । मिश्रदेशका राजा फारोमा भरोसा गर्नेहरूका निम्ति त्यो त्यस्तै नै हुनेछ ।

But if you say to me , " We are trusting in Yahweh our God , " is not he the one whose high places and altars Hezekiah has taken away , and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem , " You must worship before this altar in Jerusalem " ?
तर , " परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरमा हामी भरोसा गरिरहेका छौं ” बनेर तिमी मलाई भन्छौ भने , के त्‍यो उही होइन जसका उच्‍च स्थानहरू र वेदीहरूलाई हिजकियाले हटाएका छन् , अनि यहूदा र यरूशलेमलाई भनेका छन् , " तिमीहरूले यरूशलेमको यस वेदीको सामु आराधना गर्नुपर्छ " ?

Now therefore , I want to make you a good offer from my master the king of Assyria . I will give you two thousand horses , if you are able to find⟡ riders for them .
यसकारण , अब मेरो मालिक अश्शूरका महाराजाको तर्फबाट म तिमीलाई असल कुरा दिन चाहन्छु । तिमीले घोडचडीहरू भेट्टउन सक्‍छौ भने , म तिमीलाई दुई हजार घोडाहरू दिनेछु ।

How could you resist even one captain of the least of my master 's servants ? You have put your trust in Egypt for chariots and horsemen !
मेरो मालिकका सेवकहरूमध्‍ये सबाभन्दा सानो एक जना कप्‍तानको पनि तिमीले कसरी सामना गर्न सक्छौ र ? तिमीले रथहरू र घोडचढीहरूका निम्ति मिश्रदेशमा भरोसा गरेका छौ ।

Now then , have I traveled up here without Yahweh to fight against this land and destroy it ? Yahweh said to me , " Attack this land and destroy it . " ' "
अब के मैले यहाँ यस देशको विरुद्ध युद्ध गर्न र यसलाई विनाश पार्न परमप्रभुविना नै आएको हुँ र ? परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो , " यो देशलाई आक्रमण गर् र त्‍यसलाई नाश गर् । "

Then Eliakim son of Hilkiah , and Shebnah , and Joah said to the chief commander , " Please speak to your servants in the Aramean language , Aramaic , for we understand it . Do not speak with us in the language of Judah in the ears⟡ of the people who are on the wall . "
तब हिल्कियाहका छोरा एल्याकीम , शेब्‍ना र योआले प्रमुख कमाण्‍डरलाई भने , " कृपया , तपाईंका सेवकहरूसँग आरमेइक भाषा बोल्नुहोस् , किनकि हामी यो बुझ्‍छौं । पर्खालमा भएका यी मानिसहरूले सुन्‍ने गरी यहूदाको भाषामा नबोल्नुहोस् । "

But the chief commander said , " Has my master sent me to your master and to you to speak these words ? Has he not sent me to the men who sit on the wall , who will have to eat their own dung and drink their own urine with you ? "
तर प्रमुख कमाण्‍डरले भने , " के तिमीहरूका मालिक र तिमीहरूलाई मात्र यो कुरा भन्‍न मेरा मालिकले मलाई पठाउनुभएको हो र ? के पर्खालमाथि बस्‍ने मानिसहरूलाई पनि यो कुरा भन्‍न उहाँले मलाई पठाउनुभएको होइन र , जसले तिमीहरूसँगै आफ्‍नो दिसा खानुपर्छ र आफ्‍नो पिसाब पिउनुपर्छ ? "

Then the chief commander stood and shouted in a loud voice in the Jews ' language , saying , " Listen to the words of the great king , the king of Assyria .
तब प्रमुख कमाण्‍डर खडा भए र ठुलो सोरमा यहूदी भाषामा नै यसो भने , " महान् राजा , अश्शूरका महाराजाका कुरा सुन ।
ISA 36:14     Alignment score: 0.336 → 0.338
The king says , ' Do not let Hezekiah deceive you , for he will not be able to rescue you .
महाराजा भन्‍नुहुन्छ , ' हिजकियाले तिमीहरूलाई छल नगरोस् , किनकि त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई छुटकारा दिन सक्‍नेछैन ।

Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in Yahweh , saying , " Yahweh will surely rescue us ; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria . " '
तिमीहरूलाई यसो भन्‍दै परमप्रभुमा भरोसा गर्ने बनाउन हिजकियालाई नदेओ , ' परमप्रभुले निश्‍चय पनि हामीलाई छुटकारा दिनुहुनेछ । यो सहर अश्शूरका राजाको हातमा दिइनेछैन ' ।

Do not listen to Hezekiah , for this⟡ is what the king of Assyria says : ' Make peace with me and come out to me . Then every one of you will eat from his own vine and from his own fig tree , and drink from the water in his own cistern .
हिजकियाको कुरा नसुन , किनकि अश्शूरका राजा यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ , ' मसँग मिलाप गर र मकहाँ बाहिर आओ । तब तिमीहरूमध्‍ये हरेकले आ-आफ्नै दाख र अञ्जिरको रूखबाट खानेछ र आफ्नै इनारबाट पानी पिउनेछ ।

You will do this⟡ until I come and take you away to a land like your own land , a land of grain and new wine , a land of bread and vineyards⟡ . '
तिमीहरूको जस्तै देशमा , अन्‍न र नयाँ दाखमद्यको देशमा , रोटी र दाखबारीको देशमा म आएर मैले तिमीहरूलाई नलगेसम्म तिमीहरूले यसै गर्नेछौ । '

Do not let Hezekiah mislead⟡ you , saying , ' Yahweh will rescue us . ' Has any of the gods of the peoples rescued them from the hand of the king of Assyria ?
हिजकियाले तिमीहरूलाई यसो भनेर भ्रममा पार्न नदेओ , ' परमप्रभुले हामीलाई छुटकारा दिनुहुनेछ ' । के अश्शूरका राजाका हातबाट मानिसहरूका कुनै देवताहरूले तिनीहरूलाई छुटकारा दिएका छन् र ?

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad ? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim ? Have they rescued Samaria from my power ?
हमात र अर्पादका देवताहरू कहाँ छन् ? सपर्बेमका देवताहरू कहाँ छन् ? के तिनीहरूले समरियालाई मेरो शक्तिबाट छुटकारा दिएका छन् र ?

Among all the gods of these lands , is there any god who has rescued his land from my power , as if Yahweh could save Jerusalem from my power ? "
यी देशहरूका सबै देवताहरूमध्‍ये कुनै देवताले आफ्नो देशलाई मेरो शक्तिबाट छुटकारा दिएका छन् । के परमप्रभुले यरूशलेमलाई मेरो शक्तिबाट बचाउनुभयो भनेजस्तै कुरा गर्छौ ? "

But the people remained silent and did not respond , for the king 's order was , " Do not answer him . "
तर मानिसहरू चुपचाप बसे र कुनै जवाफ दिएनन् , किनकि " त्‍यसलाई जवाफ नदिनू " भन्‍ने राजाको हुकुम थियो ।
